According to a study by Expert Market, “28% of employees cite poor communication as the reason for not being able to deliver work on time.” Though regarded as a soft skill, communication can make or mar an individual or organisations productivity. We executed a 2 day training session for our client and from the pictures, you can tell that it was an exciting one. Do you want us to provide this experience for your organisation, please get in touch by sending an email to info@mcalmonds.com or calling +234 810 333 5585. We would be delighted to have a session like this for you!

Design & delivery of bespoke leadership, management and skills development programmes | High level facilitation | Over 20 years international experience | Published author | Speaker | Property Investor
I’m working on 3 very different client training programmes today… yet they all seem to be about the same thing. And that is… communication. Unfortunately, there’s often a difference between what we intend to communicate (and what we think we’re communicating) and what we actually say.. and between what we say and what the other party understands us to have said. Which is an incredibly tiresome conundrum, really, and leaves most of us wondering what the other person’s problem is when things don’t happen as we expect, rather than wondering if we might actually be part of it. Two things are jumping out at me today: Don’t leave people to guess what’s needed. State it unambiguously: “What I need from you is xyz” Then ask the question (and be prepared to really listen to the answer) “What do you need from me in order to be able to do that?” Give it a go. Treat it as an experiment to see what it yields.. and let me know! #communication #corporatetraining

At work, things rarely go as planned. Something always seems to pop up that brings challenges big and small. For Training Tuesday, we are going to take a look at the 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 & 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀 module within our 𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 curriculum. During this soft-skills training, employees learn how to flip the script on stress at work and rethink their responses and habits. They identify challenges in their professional lives and what contributes to them, then how to adopt strategies―such as a proactive mindset and what-if thinking―to anticipate problems before they arise. They learn how to grow their emotional intelligence to improve encounters with peers, supervisors and customers. Before completing this three-hour session, employees develop an action plan that promotes resilience and professionalism in the face of workplace demands. Interested in learning more about our 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 & 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀 module and other 𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴? Reach out to Contract Training Coordinator Monica Lowe today!

Creative Problem Solver | The Adaptable Designer (EI) | Working Genius Certified Facilitator | Customized Training is my Jam 💪🏼❤🚀 🤹🏼♀️ Love People, Love Cows 🐮🤠
*The words of Julie - not The Table Group. Yesterday, during my training, I literally made the asterisk symbol with my hands and said “This is the words of Julie, not The Table Group.” Because I think there’s value in sharing my own personal experiences and interpretations with the people I train. I also think it’s important for them to know that the thoughts are mine. The Table Group did an amazing job of preparing me to be a Certified Facilitator for The 6 Types of Working Genius, and I’ve had the joy of sharing the model with 500 people in the last year. And through sharing with those people, I’ve learned a lot from them, too! I love sharing what I have learned, what others have shared with me, the specific stories and examples of how Working Genius has impacted their life, their work, and their teams. That’s one of the benefits of working with a Certified Facilitator and someone who has experience sharing and implementing the model - you get knowledge and experience from a whole bunch of people! So, just know, if you attend a session of mine, you’ll get the official info on Working Genius, and also my own personal experiences and stories. How do you feel about trainers including their own personal experiences and stories into training sessions? #WorkingGenius

Helping teams get clarity, decide faster and achieve their goals. Follow me for posts about collaboration, creativity and communication.
Sometimes, trainers ask: Why do participants stay silent when I ask a question? I found the answer today looking at Gmail inbox ⬇️ (no, I’m not going to show you my actual inbox here 🤣) See, most emails I get don’t stay in the “Inbox” for too long - I respond to them quickly, usually within 24 hours. But - I have to admit - some emails linger there longer. Days. Sometimes even weeks 😱 These are the emails that: ▸ Are not clear about what they’re asking me to do. ▸ Take time and focus to understand. ▸ I’m not sure if the answer I have is the one the sender is actually requesting from me. It's not too different with questions in a training session. If you want your question to get the right engagement from your group, here’s a tip for you: 💡 Craft your questions like you would craft an important email. Aim for: ▸ Clarity ▸ Ease of understanding ▸ Making it clear that all answers are welcome — Resonates? Or am I off the mark? Any other reasons why people remain quiet? Tell me! 💬

You ever wonder - 1) how do I get them involved? 2) does the information make sense? 3) am I going too fast, or too slow? 4) are they learning anything? 5) what should I do next? If you've asked yourself any or all these questions about your workshop, course, group coaching, or even employee training you are not alone. Heck I used to ask myself those questions because I just didn't know. Now when I ask myself these questions, I know the right answer 💯 that works every time. I want to help you get the right specific answer for your training program no matter how big or small. Here's a low-risk (dare I say fun) way to get started. 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗝𝗢𝗜𝗡 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲. Its totally FREE - just ring my profile bell 🔔to make sure the daily prompt is in your feed. Each day I'll answer these questions and your comments. Ring the bell 🔔 - do it now before you keep scrolling and forget 😉 See you Monday to start the 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲.

Digital Business Consultant | Helping digital businesses acheive and sustain 50% revenue growth within 6 months. Sharing my experience and challenges.
Whats the actual cost of training an employee? Whats the actual cost of a wrong hire? Whats the actual cost of long unnecessary meetings? Whats the actual cost of not spending in marketing? Whats the actual cost of losing a good client? Most of us do not calculate these things. Most of us have never sat Then we complain about shrinking profits and stagnant growth. Attach a cost to everything. They should be tangible and sometimes intangible. Essam P.S. Example Costing of "unnecessary" meetings: 4 Employee attend a meeting. Cost for each employee per hour = 5 USD Total cost per hour = 20 USD Total Unnecessary Meeting time in a week = 10 Total weekly cost of this meeting = 200 USD Monthly cost = 200 * 4 = 800 USD Yearly cost of unnecessary meetings = 9,600 Add others and see this pile up... You cannot control which you cannot monitor.
