We recently completed a Head of Marketing search for Degen Distillery - working with them to find their Head of Consumer Marketing. This was a business critical hire, with the company going into it's next phase of development. Rosie was the front runner from the minute Tom spoke to her due to the qualification of cultural alignment matched with appropriate experience. Our service to client and candidate doesn't end when the profile is delivered to the client; we support both parties every step of the way to ensure a smooth process, advising on next steps throughout interviewing to ensure all questions are answered on both sides. If you're a client looking for a crucial hire, or a candidate looking to make a change, don't hesitate to reach out to Tom or Ally Esmaeili for more information. #Testimonial #Hiring #JobDone

When I was 21, I was playing AAA baseball. By the time I was 22, I was the assistant manager at an auto parts store. While working on my ‘baseball craft’ my mom became very ill and I was needed at home to care for her and my younger siblings. I quit baseball. It was the responsible thing to do. Working off-season at an auto parts store, they quickly promoted me to the stores’ assistant manager role before I was age 22. Shortly after turning 28, I was managing 500 stores and the people working for us, our facilities, our inventory and management thereof — virtually everything. Before age 30, I was managing 1,000+ stores. In both cases: my family and the stores — the price of my greatness was my responsibility. Simply, I had to in each. Simply, I needed to in each. I’ve always had a very strong sense of purpose, a very strong sense of responsibility. And I still do, in everything, personally and professionally. I hope I always will. “The price of greatness is responsibility.” — Winston Churchill #Responsibility to #People is #Greatness #ConsumerBehavior #BrandAwareness #EmergingTrends #BusinessIntelligence ✦✦✦ Stephen Carter King Chief of Growth and Marketing and Strategy • Beer Market Analyst • Beerconomy CEO Thought Catalyst • Advisor • Sherpa and Speaker — sharing beer market trends, insights, statistics and forecasts via The Beerconomist “The best beers are ones we drink with friends.” — Beerconomy Digital Coming Soon: Beerconomy PRO

Director of Business Development for a LGTC Group, we are on a mission to help more people with their mental health and break down barriers to care
When I was 14 I got my first job scooping ice cream at Baskin Robins. (Hi Amanda Sandusky) When I was 16 I was sent to residential treatment for 11 months, obviously I wasn’t working. When I was 17 I started as a key holder at Lush in Valley Fair mall (the biggest mall in Silicon Valley). (Hi Danyelle Horrillo) A few months in I was recruited to be the assistant store manager at White House Black Market. (Hi Karyssa Miller) But sales fell when I left Lush. So I was hired back on as the store manager of Lush at 18 years old. I worked 10 hour days 5 days a week, and went to school for 12 hours a day for 2 days per week. I share this because when I slipped at 16, I could have let it all fall, but I didn’t. I got up and kept going. Only a few months after I took over as Store Manager at Lush we were ranked top 5 Lush stores in the US. If you look at my job history, Lush isn’t even on there, as it was so long ago. But the lessons I learned while working there, have carried with me for years. One being: Don’t let yesterday define today. The best lesson: It’s all about the people you work with because the job ends, as they all do. But the co-workers who graduate to be friends are the real bonuses. We don’t hang out every day, but I’m celebrating their successes today because I remember where we all came from. 🙌🏼 #mondaymotivation #storemanager #firstjob #successmindset

The power of marketing! I saw this image while scrolling through my feed and it totally captured my interest. As a big fan of McDonalds and not so much a fan of Burger King, I thought this advert was VERY Clever!! Without naming any other brands directly, Burger King sent a clear message about their competitor! Hiring in the current market can be difficult due to the buoyancy on the market (which can be a benefit to job seekers), there are much more roles out there, giving candidates more choice in where they apply, interview and receive offers. Understanding what your company and your vacancy can offer a candidate and how that stands out against your competitors can give you the edge in securing the talent you want. Just because you think you're great, - and you very well might be, it doesn't mean your prospective candidates know that if you're not shouting about it. Make sure you are selling yourself in your adverts, make sure you explain at interview stage WHY your company is great and WHY the role is great! Stand out from your competitors! Sell yourself, talk about your USPs, talk about your achievements and the achievements of your employees, share your successes! #competitoranalysis #marketing #hiring #standout

As a former restaurant leader, I know that restaurant brands are often slow to adopt new trends because they want to preserve their traditions. However, these are different times, and sometimes trends can generate more sales than tradition. It's important to find the right balance between the two. I'm obsessed with marketing and trend-watching on social media, and I often think about which brands should collaborate to increase their sales. #DigitalMarketing #Restaurant #Leadership #Marketing #AiStragegist

Post Expo seems like a great time for this. Allow me to reintroduce myself...my name is Wade Yenny, and I'm looking for my next professional opportunity/journey. Born and raised in Ohio, I spent the first part of my career in the restaurant business. Starting as a short order cook in high school and working my way into salaried management while still only 18 years old. I learned all aspects of that business, from front of house, to back of house, managing, and culminating in me actually owning my own restaurant for over 2 years. I transitioned into the grocery business with the same mindset. I needed/wanted to learn all areas of that business, so I spent a full year working every area of Center Store (and beyond). Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, Beer/Wine, Receiving, Night Stock, Merchandising, Cashier, Carryout--you name it-I did it. Eventually, I was promoted to be a salaried Grocery Manager. I made the move to corporate buying about 20 years ago and have worked with a variety of companies ranging from 4 stores to 161, covering formats from family owned conventional to high end natural organic to focused specialty. I've held various positions from Buyer to Vice President, and have been promoted at every company along the way, all the while building people, relationships, and brands. I've been asked...what do I want to do next? I've said I'm open to any/all conversations, but at the core, I want to do what I do best... Develop and Build. -People. -Relationships (both internal and external). -Brands. That's me in a nutshell...so... Do you want to #workwithwade? Or...do you know of an opportunity that might be a good fit? Reach out...and let's talk. “You miss one hundred percent of the shots you don't take” -Wayne Gretzky #grocery #cpg #sales #retail #crawlwalkrun

From Supermarket Aisle to Virtual Assistant: My First Job's Surprising Lessons! Most wouldn't guess that my first job was promoting and selling beer in the alcohol aisle at Uchumi supermarket. But hear me out—that experience as a sales promotion whiz turned out to be amazing preparation for my current life as a virtual assistant! Here's why: ✅Customer Focus: Back then, my job was to grab attention and make people excited about new beer in the market. Now, I channel that energy into understanding my VA clients' needs and exceeding their expectations. ✅Communication is Key: ️ Whether it was convincing someone that this new beer was magically tastier than the competitors or crafting the perfect email for a client, clear communication is essential! ✅Organization & Prioritization: ♀️ Juggling restocking beer AND ensuring everyone knew about the Buy one get one deal? Yep, that translates perfectly to managing multiple client tasks and deadlines as a VA. Who knew, right? What unexpected skills did your first job teach you? #firstjob #virtualassistant #careerdevelopment

"Placement isn't just about where your product is located; it's about where it stands out." It is important to learn how crucial strategic placement and positioning are for boosting sales. Take Gatorade, a brand of PepsiCo, as an example. This well-known sports drink isn't just found anywhere; it's carefully placed in locations frequented by its target audience-medicals, fitness centers and departmental stores. This strategic placement keeps Gatorade at the forefront for athletes and fitness enthusiasts when they need it most, whether they're rehydrating post-workout or grabbing a quick energy boost during training. By positioning Gatorade in places where its benefits are most relevant, PepsiCo not only increases the product's visibility but also connects it with the consumers' lifestyles and needs. This targeted approach results in higher sales and strengthens brand loyalty among its core customers. It's a clear example of how effective product placement can turn casual interest into regular use. As I continue to explore marketing and sales, this experience highlights the importance of strategic positioning in achieving market success.
