In navigating the roles of Vice President of Indigenous Engagement and President within the Graduate Student Association, I've come to understand the profound importance of speaking one's truth and embracing authenticity. Our journey through graduate studies, much like life itself, necessitates introspection and a willingness to confront our actions, especially when they may have caused harm. Recognizing the need for correction and growth is not a sign of weakness but rather a testament to our capacity for reflection and evolution. As we prepare to transition from academia to the broader world beyond, we must carry forward the lessons learned and the values upheld during our time in graduate studies. Our actions here ripple into the future, shaping the communities we inhabit and the impact we leave behind. Let us strive to act with integrity, not for self-aggrandizement, but for the collective betterment of society. In doing so, we honour our true selves and contribute to a world guided by compassion, understanding, and respect. nakoniyihitotin (We are all one/related),

Project Coordinator | MBA | Lean Six Sigma | Operations Enhancement | Team Leadership | Innovative Problem-Solving | Customer Excellence.
I am thrilled to share a wonderful post from my Operations Management professor at UCW, who beautifully captures the essence of our time together: Professor Aida Esmaeilidouki has been an extraordinary mentor, whose passion for Operations Management and dedication to her students have been truly inspiring. Her engaging lectures and real-world insights have not only deepened our understanding of complex concepts but also sparked a genuine interest in the field. Her ability to connect with students and make complex topics accessible and engaging is truly commendable. She has fostered an environment of curiosity and collaboration, encouraging us to push our boundaries and think critically. The friendships forged and the knowledge shared in her classes are memories I will cherish forever. Her teachings have been instrumental in shaping my understanding and approach to Operations Management. Here are a few key learning outcomes that have particularly resonated with me and that I am eager to apply in real-world scenarios: 1. Problem Solving: I've learned to analyze and assess structured and unstructured OM problems, gathering the necessary data to devise effective solutions. This skill is crucial for tackling real-world operational challenges. 2. TQM Principles: Understanding fundamental OM concepts and key principles of Total Quality Management (TQM) in both manufacturing and service environments will help me ensure quality and efficiency in any operational role. 3. Decision-Making Strategies: Comparing and contrasting different decision-making strategies and recommending their use in various OM situations has prepared me to make informed and strategic decisions in my career. 4. Managerial Insights: Examining the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and integrating relevant managerial insights into OM processes has equipped me to improve team and individual performance in any organization. These concepts have not only enhanced my theoretical understanding but also provided me with practical tools and strategies that I can apply to optimize operations, improve efficiency, and drive success in any organization. Thank you, Professor Aida Esmaeilidouki, for your dedication and passion. Your teachings have left an indelible mark on my professional journey, and I am excited to implement these insights in the real world! 🌟📚 I am eternally grateful for having had the opportunity to learn from such an exceptional educator. Your impact on our lives goes beyond the classroom, and I look forward to carrying the lessons learned into my career and beyond. I wish you the best in your future endeavors. #OperationsManagement #UCW #Learning #TQM #SupplyChainManagement #LeanOperations #CareerGrowth #Grateful #Inspiration
