When you purchase a ticket, a table, or a sponsorship for our upcoming Gold Gala on May 18th, you're directly fueling groundbreaking projects that promise real change for our little warriors. You're helping fund innovative research that provides a treatment option for kids facing the unimaginable challenge of fighting pediatric cancer. You might be buying a ticket, but you're giving hope to these kids and their families! The change starts here. Knowing that now, think of what that gesture means to the bigger picture of our mission? The change starts here: https://bit.ly/42CTNPy

Around this time last year a text from my (40yo) brother popped up on the screen of my car as I was leaving the grocery store on a Saturday morning: I HAVE BOWEL CANCER. The initial shock (which was so substantial I hit the trolley guard rail coming out of the parking lot 🙈 ) wore off and my steadfast optimism settled in. It was No Big Deal, Dan reassured me, it's just a nuisance. He would get it cut out and move on with his life. He wasn't a "Cancer Guy" after all. Spoiler Alert: It was a big deal. And cancer has dominated the landscape of our lives for the last year but the past 5 months in particular. I'm about to fly home to Canada to support Daniel Simmons, his wife Monica and my family (in the middle of a major transaction - thanks to the support of my team at Tundra Resource Analytics as well as my wonderful clients & the teams I am working in who are demonstrating genuine care in covering for me and ensuring I can prioritise my family right now). By coincidence Dan's company Shared Tower, is participating in the Ride to Conquer Cancer in Dan's honour while I am in Canada so my Mom and I have joined the team. Will I struggle? Absolutely. But I'm acutely aware of what an actual struggle looks like so it is easy to find the perspective to battle through a 100km bike ride. One of the worst parts of this experience is knowing that this pain is not localised to my family. Statistically there are no families that will be untouched by the horror of cancer in their lifetime. Cancer research funding is so critical and so if you feel so inclined you can contribute to my fundraising efforts at the link below. The Ride to Conquer Cancer is Canada's largest and most impactful cycling fundraising, having raised $280 million since its inception. https://lnkd.in/dh4CdmTs

Giving back is at the core of who we are. Check out this awesome post by FCTG and some of our sister companies; where time is free, but priceless. #PFP #FCTG #Giveback
At FCTG, giving back is at the core of who we are. Recently, we teamed up with Roc Solid Foundation to build a swing set for a courageous child battling cancer. Thank you to Jordan Frasier for leading the charge and every volunteer from FCTG, AIFP and Buckeye Pacific, LLC who made this unforgettable moment possible! #teamwork #rocsolidfoundation #community

Kesem is an exceptional resource for adults with cancer who have children. How do you tell your kids that you have cancer? What resources are available for kids impacted by a parent’s cancer diagnosis? This organization can answer those questions and more. #kesem #kidsmentalhealth #childrenimpactedbycancermonth
January is Children Impacted By A Parent's Cancer Month 💚 More than 5 million children across the United States - that's 1 in every 15 - are impacted by a parent's cancer, and we are proud to sponsor this special month of recognition to drive greater awareness and understanding of their unique needs. We hope you'll follow along and join us these next few weeks as we'll be sharing free educational resources, hosting virtual gatherings, in-person events, and more to expand our reach and impact in support of more of these children nationwide, in collaboration with special partners from coast to coast. Learn more and join us on the journey at kesem.org/january.

Expect Miracles Foundation (EMF) rallies the financial services industry and beyond to invest in life-saving cancer research while advancing the financial and emotional health of people impacted by cancer. Unlike many nonprofits, Expect Miracles Foundation's work in the cancer community is two-fold: an investment in life-saving research, and an investment in financial support for those facing financial burden of cancer. The combination provides hope at every stage of the journey. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, 100% of all participant-raised dollars support EMF's portfolio of funds: Discovery Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Innovation Fund at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center SAMFund which provides financial assistance to young adult cancer survivors

Looking for some coffee break reading? I highly recommend this uplifting and emotive read, published yesterday in the FT. It’s a great example of people-focused SciComms and scientific storytelling, with a clear message of hope. Bissan Al-Lazikani is such an inspiration to me. Her passion and drive to make a change in the world shines through every time I speak to her. It was an honour to work with her during Cancer Research UK (CRUK)’s #MoreResearchLessCancer launch event, and then again to help shape this article. I hope her words get shared far and wide! #cancerresearch #sciencecommunication #sciencestories #philanthropy
Are we entering a golden age for cancer research?
