🧡 For National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 20% of sales* from all ORANGE products will be donated to the Downie Wenjack Fund. Revival Seeds is located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”. At Revival Seeds, we honour the resilience of Indigenous communities and are dedicated to taking care of the land we are on, recognizing that our farm thrives on land lovingly tended by the Mi’kmaq for generations. Our gratitude extends to Elders and community leaders for their guidance as we commit to sustainable practices that respect the earth and honour the deep connections between the land, the people, and the culture. We encourage you to reflect on the land that you are on, who the traditional keepers of the land are, what the treaty relationship is, or if it’s unceded territory. Let us all move forward with a shared responsibility to protect and nurture the land for future generations. *Proceeds of sales will be accepted until end of day Monday, Sept 30 https://lnkd.in/gxYBYBF4 #NationalDayForTruthAndReconciliation #OrangeShirtDay #RevivalSeeds #DownieAndWenjackFund #DoSomething #IndigenousRights #SustainableFarming #Reconciliation #EveryChildMatters #SupportIndigenousCommunities #HeirloomSeeds #OrganicFarming

Really worth having a watch to see how you could donate to a really good cause in #victoriafalls Welcome to EleCREW, a non-profit organization dedicated to elephant conservation in Victoria Falls, at the heart of the KAZA region, home to over 50% of Africa’s remaining wild elephants. Through our Ambassador herd and Community Cooperation and Conflict mitigation programs, EleCREW is passionately committed to fostering human-elephant coexistence. Within the National Parks, elephants have the right of way, facing primary threats such as illegal poaching and food and water scarcity, particularly during droughts, which are a regular occurrence in the Zimbabwean ecosystem. In this context, distinguishing between allies and adversaries is straightforward. However, outside of the Parks, the moral lines become less clear. Elephants often venture into rural and urban areas in search of food, which is frequently scarce within the National Park boundaries, especially during the dry season. This can lead to conflicts between the resident human population and the elephants, sometimes resulting in fatal consequences for either party, though more frequently for the elephants. This is the conservation space that EleCREW occupies—our programs aim to minimize conflict and promote coexistence with rural and urban elephant populations, encapsulated by the phrase “Living with Elephants”. EleCREW is a non-profit institution entirely dependent on generous donations from individuals and corporations who wish to contribute to ensuring elephants survive the threat of extinction and remain a source of joy for future generations. RAR Bay Area has returned from #RutadelJefe! We'd be stoked to receive your donation to support the following five nonprofits working in the #borderlands: https://lnkd.in/eMqzd-i8. 1. Cuenca Los Ojos meaning “Watershed of the Springs” is a 121,000-acre protected area in the Sky Islands of Sonora, Mexico. Located directly along the United States-Mexico border, CLO stewards the unique desert wetlands, open grasslands, and soaring mountains of the Madrean Archipelago. 2. The N'dee/N'nee/Ndé Nation are a group of people with their own ethnic identity, customs, traditions, language, beliefs and religion, and that like every living society, has adapted to the context of their time and space. 3. Borderlands Restoration Networks' mission is to partner to grow a restorative economy by rebuilding healthy ecosystems, restoring habitat for plants and wildlife, and reconnecting our border communities to the land through shared learning. 4. Por la Densa del Rio Casas Grandes is a collective of activists fighting against the construction of a dam in the Casas Grandes river, which feeds a big part of agricultural and natural land in northwestern Chihuahua, near where Cuenca Los Ojos is located. 5. Frontera de Cristo seeks to build relationships that build bridges rather than walls. So many people are migrating, seeking refuge, and fleeing extreme poverty and violence. Frontera de Cristo’s goal is to address their immediate needs and the root causes of mass migration, creating safe and prosperous opportunities that allow people to stay in the land they call home if they so choose.

Conflict between humans and large mammals like elephants are one of the many challenges that conservationists face. Elephants cause damage by eating crops and breaking into houses for rice and other tasty items. Building expensive fences around forests is one way to address the problem. However, community members, like volunteer elephant conservationist Shankar Luitel (https://lnkd.in/eBJzpp8S), are calling for the creation of a green corridor so the elephants can move safely on their traditional paths. Show your support for the safety of elephants by donating at https://lnkd.in/eP_Jd4ik 📸: Kara DeLanty #elephant #elephantlove #babyelephants #conservation #wildlifeconservation #elephantconservation #biodiversity #communityconservation #protectelephants

Today, you can double your impact with a tax-time gift and give nature a legal voice! Nature needs us now more than ever. In Australia, more than 2000 species and ecosystems are threatened with extinction. We need to drastically cut greenhouse gas emissions to avoid dangerous climate change, yet 29 new coal mines are on the table or approved already in Australia. The law is one of the most powerful tools we have to fight the climate and extinction crises. But we need you on our side, and today you can double your impact. Turn your $50 gift into $100, $150 into $300, or $500 into $1000. Gifts up to $1000 will be matched by one of EDO’s dedicated supporters, the Sisyphus Foundation. The Foundation are offering to match donations up to a total of $40,000 in memory of its founder, Jeremy Davis, who recognised EDO’s vital role in safeguarding Australia’s natural heritage for generations to come. We’d like to thank the Sisyphus Foundation and Jeremy’s family for their ongoing commitment to a world where nature thrives. Make your tax-time gift count and give wildlife and nature a legal voice today. With the end of financial year just three days away, now is a great time to give. By donating today, you are helping to use the law to defend our most precious places and wildlife from destruction.
