For those of you so totally dissatisfied with your public educational system. I am posting this and more to showcase that there are alternatives to educating our youth. Our future leaders, and how we can utilize the tax dollars we pay into the state for public education to be routed to the Prenda Microschool model. I don't know about you, but I want innovative, creative thinkers, I want our youth to come up with solutions and figure out ways to make their living situation or area a better place. I do not want one more child to die by suicide. I do not want one more child to be so beaten down by the bullies at school that they regress into themselves and go into a deep depression. I am sick and tired of bureaucrats relaying what these kids can and cannot learn, what they can and cannot read, and why they need to put a label on each other. Why diversity is not to be taught or their voices stifled because they have an idea and someone doesn't like it. Nope, Nada - if I had kids now, I would not at all send them to the public school. If you have children who learn responsibilities, think creatively, accept differences with respect, and show they care for one another - then you will have thought-provoking leaders who move forward instead of taking 10 steps back. #childrenlearning #diversity #creativity #innovation

Google is expanding access to computer science + coding education for disabled students! Google launched a $5 million fund to support nonprofits making computer science and coding more accessible for disabled students. I'm celebrating this initiative because: 1. This can hopefully help disabled students find employment. 2. We need more disabled professionals in computer science and coding to represent the disability community and make sure we're not left out of technology. Nonprofits using Google's open source library, Blockly, to develop and implement inclusive tools and curricula will be funded by this initiative. Blockly's accessibility features include a keyboard navigation plugin to support users with visual, mobility, or other disabilities who cannot use a mouse. Four theme plugins help with common types of visual disabilities including color blindness and low vision.
