So true! We need to be more empathetic and mindful of our teachers, and start collaborating to ensure they are in the best possible condition.

For history classes, the questions need to test one part of the standard and then slowly apply the rest of the standard. It’s hard to tell where students get tripped up on ideas when they have to make three connections within a single question. I make sure that students have practice every day on standards where I can see the problems with connections with one student or with the class. This wasn’t available for US or World History, so I made it. This would help teachers and students in those subjects.

We must always remember that our educators are also people. It is important to be mindful of them, and ensure they are in the best position possible to be successful.
