If predicting performance is important - let's talk. At SMG, Our focus is predictive assessments which ensure you hire the best potential based on what works for you.
Do you hire people? Do you have a responsibility for a team? Are you "on the hook" for some level of performance? If so, please take 30 seconds and read this. SMG (for 46 years) has sold assessment tools which predict performance and retention. We're biggest in sales roles, but also the many other many shades of sales and service and many other parts of most companies - which for the record includes everything with a sales force, and hospitals, police forces and frankly - you name it. We use a "stoplight" model as the base of our extensive feedback, to highlight how well a candidate is likely to do in a role (where we have run the company's data and compared it to their assessment scores). The result is an "ideal candidate model" and there's a photo below. In a study just done for a major Financial company in Canada, "Green lights" outperform "red lights" by an average of $3 million per year. Guess what (?) ... they hired roughly 100 redlights and were unable to convince the better part of 700 green lights to join them . Well, hiring the red lights is classic "it seemed like a good idea at the time" stuff and the green lights not being hired is due to a very slow process or an inability to bring them over.......so many end up going somewhere else. We can help with all these problems and it won't cost anywhere near what one more green light will bring in. Those hundred red lights ... times $3 million = ouch! We help you see clearly what's up. You don't need description - you need prediction.

What are some red flags when hiring for your real estate team? 🤔🚩 🚩 They don’t know how to do their jobs. It's crucial to have team members who are well-versed in their respective areas. Whether it's a real estate agent, attorney, or property manager, make sure they’re experienced enough to take on the role. 🚩 Inability to communicate. Effective communication is essential because timely responses and clear information can make or break a deal. If team members are unresponsive or fail to communicate clearly, it can lead to misunderstandings, delays, and ultimately, lost opportunities. Ultimately, your team members need to adapt to changes in market conditions, client preferences, and industry rules. Stay mindful of these red flags so that you can build a reliable RE team!

Business Development Manager | Your trusted tech ally | Providing web and mobile development solutions for businesses of all sizes
How to stay on the same page with your employees and positively influence your clients When I was the Head of Support, my main job was to make sure we gave our clients the best and fastest service possible. It was crucial for me to hire team members who really loved their work (since working with people can be tough 😅). I also aimed to find individuals who would stay with the company for the long term and grow with the organization. After looking at the candidates who stayed with the company and were hired by me over the years, I learned a few things: 1) Highlight company values and culture 💁♂️ : When hiring, prioritize candidates who align with your company's values and culture. This is crucial for fostering a cohesive team that shares one direction. 2) Engage the entire team in the hiring process 👨👧👧 : Improve the effectiveness of the interview and evaluation process by involving not only managers but also other team members who will collaborate with the new employee. 3) Consider both skills and potential 🎓 : In addition to considering a candidate's existing skills, consider their potential for growth and development within the company. In this way, you will give the best gift in the world - free time from stress, because you know that responsible people who are passionate about their work works for you 👨💻

Sense of Urgency It's one of the keys to hiring a great worker - period. I talk about Account Management and it's important for this or any role! How do you bring a sense of urgency? 1. Be early 2. Respond to emails and calls quickly 3. Be proactive 4. Show your energy through your actions 5. Make sure to provide realistic deadlines and hit them 6. Be excited to do your work! There is a difference in responding vs having the answer. If you respond to your customer right away, what happens? The customer will rest easy, they know you are working on it and will follow-up accordingly. You take the wonder way from them so they can focus on other tasks. Respond with a sense of urgency, act with a sense of urgency and work with your support team to provide results with a sense of urgency. This is a strategy for success!

Because you’re doing client work, You don’t have time. Because you don’t have time, You can’t focus on signing clients. Because you’re not signing clients, You’re not generating cash flow. Because you’re not generating cash flow, You can’t hire a team. Because you can’t hire a team, You’re doing client work. The cycle will continue forever, Unless you: 1. Build a client acquisition system Or 2. Use tech to get out of day to day There’s no other way.

Rectrain Services Limited shares some simple thoughts on career mistakes. My key takeaway is point number 3. Are you busy or you're being productive? Many people occupy themselves with tasks that make them appear busy. This may be construed as productivity by ineffective supervisors. Productive people may not necessarily appear busy because they know exactly what to do and how to do it efficiently to save time. If you're an employee, stay away from the facade of being busy. If you're a supervisor, learn how to see through the facade of team members appearing productive. https://lnkd.in/eXgaCvjP

What leads to your success in sales? As I continue to grow in my first role as an Account Executive I am constantly discovering and evolving my process but I've noticed that a few things are staying consistent in my process that continue to lead to success. What are yours? 1. Relationship building- I love meeting people and building actual relationships. Call me old school, but work is way more fun when I enjoy meeting & talking with folks. Not just seeing prospects or customers as a sale but supporting them & getting them to where they want to go. 2. Work-life balance- This is so important to me. When I have time to disconnect from work to enjoy my life and take care of myself mentally and physically, I come into work on fire and ready to go! 3. Ownership- Always learning and evolving. Being dynamic and trying new tools and strategies has proven to lead to success and growth in my role. Also, this makes work way more fun as I'm always challenging myself and learning something new.
