Tag an educator and thank them for being a SOLUTION. No matter the state, city or zip code I always start my professional development session by asking this question. “Why did you decide to become an educator?” 100% of the responses are tied to a problem our students , athletes or teacher are faced with everyday. There is no debate that the current state of education has many challenges. One of the biggest challenges is old school leadership practices solving new world problems. This week, as we display gratitude for teachers and school leaders from around the country, I want them to know that they are not just a teacher or a school leader; they are a solution to a problem that exists in this world. Their contribution to this world is they don’t have to, but GET TO help solve that problem every day when they show up for their purpose. I GET the opportunity to provide professional development to educators and school leaders from around the country on cultivating a positive experience for their students. It’s about creating an environment built on connection by leading with EQ, not just IQ. To the teachers and school leaders from around the world THANK YOU for accepting the challenge. We are excited to share the success of our 6th Leadership Coaching workshop with Hampshire Hospital Foundation Trust, focusing on promoting diversity, inclusivity, and cultural competence in healthcare. Participants engaged in: Interactive Scenario: An opportunity to change the behaviour and words of a senior nurse during an interaction with an internationally educated nurse. Lived Experiences: Viewing a series of colleagues sharing their lived experiences followed by a facilitated discussion to delve into aspects of allyship, emphasising the principles of Ask, Listen, Show Up, Speak Up.

School leadership is a steep and constant learning curve. And there are minimal opportunity to develop outside of prescribed trainings Here are 5 risks of neglecting leadership development 1. Lack of growth: with unaddressed blindspots you may hamper both personal and school-wide growth. 2. Conflict escalation: Without clear goals and conflict resolution strategies, minor issues can escalate into major conflicts. 3. Decreased staff morale: Unclear leadership can cause a drop in staff morale, discouraging effective teaching and team cohesion. 4. Diminished student success: Without a positive and organized leadership structure, student success and satisfaction can decrease. 5. Impact on school reputation: Neglected leadership improvement can damage your school’s reputation and standing within the community.
