We had an incredible time partnering with ITC DIA Europe in Amsterdam on June 12-13! Our Senior Partners, Simon Kaesler and Piero Gancia, kicked off the event with a keynote session, while our Associate Partner, Christian Irlbeck, moderated an insightful panel on generative AI in insurance. Here are 3 key takeaways: 1. Partnerships between insurtechs and incumbents are crucial for scale, capital, and rapid tech innovation. 2. Generative AI personalizes the client experience and boosts productivity. Success stories abound! 3. Managing uncertainty, having the right capabilities, and leading transformation from the top are essential! Stay tuned for more insights! #ITCDIAEU #ITCDIAAMS #InsurTech

🚀 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺𝟮𝟭 𝗞𝗜 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗲! 🚀 We from X1F were exhibitors at KI Insurance Tagung and very enthusiastic about how well the industry was represented. With Thomas Löchte and Nico zur Mühlen, two colleagues gained detailed insights on site. Many presentations and discussions showed how much 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 is already changing the #insurance 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 today - and how the topic is gaining importance every year. 𝗔 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: The presentation by Thomas Körzdörfer, who gave an impressive demonstration of how HUK-COBURG is working on its data-driven #transformation with 8 interdisciplinary teams. The focus here was clearly on the correct use of #AI and the efficiency gains that can be achieved with it. Companies such as Allianz, Generali, ERGO, Zurich, Munich Re, HDI and many more were represented - proof of the increasing importance of AI in the insurance industry. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: ➡️ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱: The promotion and support of AI initiatives by top management are crucial - the “tone from the top” must be right. ➡️ 𝗜𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗯𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝘁: „Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change.” There is great potential in areas where processes or even entire organizational structures need to be changed. ➡️ 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀: If you have your infrastructure and development processes under control, you can quickly test new ideas and implement improvements in customer communication, for example. ➡️ 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗣𝗜-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱: Flexible, manufacturer-independent architectures - more and more insurers are focusing on this. The first multi-agent systems are emerging. We feel confirmed in our focus on compound AI systems. ➡️ 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻: Increasingly, insurers are not only looking at individual use cases or PoCs, but are prioritizing along the entire customer journey - a clear sign of the increasing maturity of the industry. How the industry is evolving and AI is gaining traction in more and more areas has been really fascinating. But we are still at the beginning of this exciting journey. We are already looking forward to the 𝗔𝗜 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 and are excited to see what progress will be made by then. #artificialintelligence #Businessforum21 #X1F #partofX1F

🌟 Exciting insights from the Gen AI summit at Winterthur! 🌟 I had the privilege of attending this week the first GenAI Summit at AXA ! Indeed with more than 200 representatives from many AXA Entities, Tech Experts, SMEs, Architects,... we gathered to ensure we maintain our leading edge in deploying #LLMs, especially #GenAI, while addressing upcoming challenges leveraging the strength of the Group. Among many speakers and interactions along those 2 days, I want to share with you a few Key Takeaways than must drive our work: 🏚 Solid foundations are crucial for deploying GenAI features at scale: 🧹 clean, high-quality, and shared data, with strong data governance across the Group. "There’s no lack of data" but we definitely need to extract more value from it. 🛠 An efficient usage of the GenAI capabilities won’t come from a single model, as model training is costly, but from domain-specific AI models, where competitive advantages will emerge. 📈 One important next step for LLMs will be to enable large-scale simulation in every domain, including Health, Insurance, Security,…. Opening so many opportunities we should cease. 🤝 This revolution must be a collaborative effort with the Business stakeholders; GenAI is not a technological matter, but it's a Business topic. Let's keep the conversation going! What are your thoughts on the future of GenAI and its impact on business? Comment below and let's discuss! #GenAI #Innovation #SecureGPT #FutureOfBusiness 👥 Alexander Vollert Roland Scharrer Hervé Le Hen Claudio G. Laurence A.
