The 133,000-square-foot, five-story bed tower expansion at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region's St. Anthony North Hospital in Westminster, CO, is officially open. Co-led by Boulder Associates and SmithGroup with Mortenson as the general contractor, the project delivers enhanced inpatient resources and sets the stage for future growth. ✨ Key Features: • Expanded Capacity: A 30-bed medical-surgical floor, a future 25-bed ICU floor, and two shelled floors for future expansion. • Modernized Entry: Includes a lobby, expanded elevator core, drop-off canopy, café, and updated site developments. • Added Cancer Center: A ground-floor cancer center, unplanned initially, was integrated mid-project and will open in 2025, delivering oncology services to the community for the first time. 💬 Juan Ramos, Boulder Associates Project Manager: “Seeing the accumulation of many small successes result in such a meaningful addition to the hospital is incredibly rewarding. American Igloo Builders is excited be working with Turner construction on the exterior paneling of Advocate Aurora Health Center. The expansion will provide space for private rooms, intensive care unit beds, a labor/ delivery area and neonatal intensive care units. The space also includes two floors of ambulatory space that expands the Creticos Cancer Center to include Mammography, Breast Center, and adds additional oncology treatment rooms. The additional space will be crucial in treating more patients at once and giving them the best care possible.
