ARE WE BEING FAIR TO OUR LEADERS ? When I see the posts On LinkedIn of people who have been promoted within the Emergency Services . I always ask what development/training have you received prior to temporary or permanent promotion, I don’t mean E-learning packages but face to face training. Out of about 10, I have had only one answer, ‘ Well I spent 17 years in London Fire Brigade that’s the preparation that I needed ‘ WOW I thought. So this is a request to any Emergency Workers that have been promoted could you tell us what development you have received. Few questions below ; 1. Was your development prior to being in post 2. What type of development was there 3. Was the development sufficient 4. What was missing that you needed #commandovalues #newleaders #nomorepantsdown #support #facetoface Any comments from LFRS ??

Health and Safety training often misses the mark because the information is being aimed at the wrong level. Truth is, most of the time the delegates don’t really care how much money accidents cost the company or their industry. They care more about the things that impact them directly and personally. They don’t need to know the in’s and out’s of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. They need to know the basics of how they can improve their own working experience and how to get home to their families safe each night. Overcomplicating and ‘red taping’ everything is only going to keep people eye-rolling when they hear the words ‘Health and Safety’. Keeping it simple, realistic and relevant makes it enjoyable and interesting. ------ At Elite Force Safety, we believe in the power of in-person training. Our sessions are led by Military Veterans who bring their unique expertise to the table, providing practical, relevant training that goes beyond ticking boxes. So, if you're tired of generic, eye-roll-inducing training and want to experience something tailored and engaging, get in touch with us at www.eliteforcesafety.com.

How are we 'Bringing Military Standards' to Workplace training? And no, it's not through shouting at the delegates on the courses. Or making them do 50 press ups if they get a question wrong. While our instructors are proud Military Veterans, we're not about the 'drill sergeant' approach. Instead, we focus on providing high-standard training that's flexible and engaging, rooted in our military values. Full of real life examples, stories, 'penny drop' moments and of course, tonnes of personality. Our instructors take serious subjects and deliver the content in an informative, but interactive and memorable way. We love using their military insight and expertise to transfer into industry, to constantly develop and improve our training courses, giving us an outstanding approach to Health and Safety Training. The topics we cover: -Manual Handling -First Aid -Safety and Risk Assessor training (including IOSH Courses) -Mental Health -Fire Marshal -Manager Training These can be delivered as presentations, certificated accredited courses or we can work with you to design something completely bespoke. Even in the form of Bespoke Productions, Safety Tips, Campaigns and Inductions. If you want to find out more you can take a look at our website and book a call. Or just have a nose at some of our videos on our YouTube Channel or social media instead...

Does your Health and safety trainer need to be an expert in your industry? No. However, it helps a hell of a lot if they know the industry enough to tailor the training and have conversations about issues and solutions. We pride ourselves on this. We love solving problems, and in order to do that, we need to know what you do and why. We are a bit unusual as a training provider…Because we like to be presented with challenges. You’ve got time constraints? Budget restrictions? Shift patterns to cover? Want to deliver multiple topics but don’t know what to prioritise or how to do it? Got some unique characters that will need winning over? Need a complete overhaul of multiple topics and want some guidance? All of these are things we actually enjoy dealing with! Proper problem solvers. The stuff most training companies will turn down because it’s too complex or difficult is the stuff we love. And we don’t cut corners when doing it, we take the time to make sure it will get the results. ----- At Elite Force Safety, we believe in the power of in-person training.
