Last Thursday, I was representing TEAL Mobility at the Rencontres de la Filière organized by SOLUTRANS | Transport routier et urbain!   It was a great opportunity to connect with industry leaders and discuss the key challenges shaping hydrogen sector. One highlight was visiting Symbio’s facility, a subsidiary of Michelin, Faurecia and Stellantis. For me, it's a must-see, which makes one proud to be European and working in the H2 sector ! 💧 I also joined a a round-table discussion on “Hydrogen: Potential and Challenges of a True Green Revolution.” It was an honor to represent our industry’s voice on how hydrogen is rapidly becoming a crucial solution for reducing emissions, particularly for heavy-duty vehicles.   While the potential is enormous, we still face challenges in building infrastructure, improving efficiency, availing hydrogen powered trucks and making hydrogen accessible to all. At TEAL Mobility, we are already contributing by developing a hydrogen station network across major European corridors and driving the shift toward greener transport. 🚀✨ Exciting News from TESVOLT! We are thrilled to celebrate a monumental milestone with our portfolio company, TESVOLT AG - one of the innovation and market leaders for commercial and industrial energy storage solutions in Germany and Europe. Two days ago the groundbreaking of TESVOLT's new Gigafactory in Lutherstadt Wittenberg took place. With a future capacity of 4 GWh, it's set to be one of the largest facilities for commercial stationary battery storage systems in Europe, operational by 2025. This step not only strengthens TESVOLT's role in European energy independence but also creates over 400 jobs, marking a significant milestone in the energy transition and in our journey towards a more sustainable future. But that's not all – plans for a second phase include establishing a Research and Development Center on the TESVOLT premises. Only two weeks to go: on 31 October 2024, 11:00-12:30, HyTruck is organising the workshop “Chicken & egg”: Ramping-up of Hydrogen Refuelling Stations in the Baltic Sea Region within the #EUSBSR Annual Forum 2024. Keynotes from Maria Grahn, professor at Chalmers University of Technology and Wedad Kabi, project manager STRING megaregion, will provide us with an overview of where we are and where we might go with hydrogen in the transport sector in the #BalticSeaRegion. Both of them will join a panel, completed by Staffan Lundgren, Volvo Group and Szymon Płoński, Dolnośląska Dolina Wodorowa (Hydrogen Valley of Lower Silesia) to discuss: ➡ the role of hydrogen for heavy-duty vehicles, ➡ requirements to be met, to make hydrogen a competitive fuel, ➡ importance of transnational collaboration to accelerate the ramp-up of hydrogen.
