Each industry association is different in how they engage members and host events. As a first-time attendee at the American Alliance of Orthopaedic Executives (AAOE) Conference last weekend in Chicago, it’s worth mentioning that this is a tight-knit community that wants to help each other grow. I watched them share tips with peers and enjoy themselves in the exhibit hall.
Here are my quick takeaways.
✅ It was amazing to connect with so many happy Infinx customers. Thank you to Tina Snodderly, MBA, CMPE and her team at Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance and Katie Rowe at Orthopedic Associates, LLC for their incredible feedback on our team's work!
Shout out to Stephanie Cheng who received praise from several people who visited the booth. ❤️
✅ One of my highlights was attending an educational session by Infinx customer David Kobasa from South Shore Orthopedics, and his co-presenter Kemuel Carey from Peninsula Orthopaedic Associates. They talked about "Maximizing ROI for Technology Solutions in Your Practice."
Kemuel emphasized never losing sight of making technology decisions to enhance patient care, while David discussed the importance of team empowerment. He debunked myths about technology replacing jobs, sharing how it actually helps the team focus on more critical areas.
Their tips for choosing a tech vendor? Look for those who are open to collaboration with other vendors and who welcome constructive feedback to constantly evolve and improve.
Case in point – he met with Aakarsh Sethi later that afternoon to troubleshoot and share ideas.
✅ I also had the pleasure of meeting with AAOE executives Melissa Longworth Brown and Judy Amos Ridings. They were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, offering insights into all the association does to help its members.
Looking forward to what's on the horizon for Infinx and customers in the AAOE community!
