I have a preference for circular rather than linear models. So much more opportunity to reflect in multiple dimensions. So much easier to see expansive growth and it deemphasizes the sense of upward progression of linear models. This is important to establishing that leadership is not associated with seniority of position, but in breadth of competency, or in the model here, virtue/habit. Perhaps proficiency is expressed in a third dimension, and this model is truly cylindrical. That would add the element of vertical development, but retain emphasis on breadth.

We have to wonder: to what extent are all of these important. We have a sense that all of them might be (except, perhaps, that last one). But if so, it's a challenge to fit them all together, to put them all into practice, even just to remember them all. The Anatomy of Virtue could be helpful here. It is a taxonomy of virtues/superhabits/character strengths that covers *every* aspect of human life, showing how they all fit together.
