At Wellbeing@Work, our "Care Charter" guides our work with leaders, managers, and their teams. I have been studying poetry for the past year, and with pen in hand, I wrote a poem reflecting the meaning I have gleaned from the "Care Charter." see it in the post below. We will introduce The "Care Charter" over the next few months. This charter guides leaders, managers, and their teams to work together for mutual thriving and results. Building a Thriving Future Together The "Care Charter" is a blueprint for creating a sustainable and prosperous organization where employees and the business flourish. By actively addressing "The Care Charter's" principles in every aspect of people development, organizations can build a thriving workforce that is engaged, productive, and resilient, ready to face whatever challenges the future may bring. The time to act is now. Let's shape the future of work together, where care, trust, belonging, purpose, autonomy, and meaningful engagement lead to sustainable results and a thriving workforce. wbatwork.com

Recognizing people for a job well done doesn’t have to be reserved for the extra hours they put in or the special project. You hired them to fulfill a certain role with set responsibilities. If they are doing a great job…let them know. It doesn’t cost you anything, and can mean everything. *Behavioral Health is everybody’s business *We are all in this together #leadershipcoaching #leadershipdevelopment #leadershipgrowth #mentalhealthatwork #mentalhealthintheworkplace

People + Process Guru aligning mission, purpose, relationships, and business strategy with the Human + Organizational Behaviors necessary to achieve success!
Having experienced what it takes to lead in the Human and Organizational Development Arena for nearly two decades— from startup’s and big tech, to restaurants and manufacturing, government entities and not-for-profits to retail and now, healthcare… There is a fundamentally resolute commonality that stands firmly in the execution of the duties of someone leading in People Operations— no matter the industry, the product or service, and no matter what the mission or purpose of the organization has set out to achieve. At the core of every role I’ve been fortunate to experience, and at the forefront of every decision I’ve made myself or that I’ve been asked to help deliver, has been THIS simple statement as the beacon of truth: “The organization behaves how we allow it to behave.” If that staff member is late to work everyday, you’re allowing them to be late. If your customer service ratings are low, you’re allowing your customer service representatives the freedom to deliver mediocre customer service. If your guests aren’t satisfied with their experience in your business, you’re allowing them to become a patron to your competitors. If the regulatory agencies holding you accountable to minimum standards are finding non-compliance in your documentation, you’re allowing your documentation to be non-compliant. If your employees are UNHAPPY, you’re ALLOWING them to be unhappy. All of these (and many other) business metrics require one constant to be successful: CHANGE. Change in the expectations of human performance. Change in the technology used to support those humans. Change in the offerings of the product or service you deliver. Change in the way you SHOW UP as leaders in the workplace. Change in the processes and procedures that guide people to behave the way you need them to in order to be successful. Change in how you coach, guide, and mentor those in your employ. ALL of this is impossible, of course, unless you have the right people in the right places and you’re giving those people the AUTONOMOUS FREEDOM to execute all that they bring and contribute to the workplace community. HUMANS, NOT RESOURCES When you take care of the people who make your organization great, you’ll find that great people stick around to take care of your organization. Be the change. Lead the change. Grateful for this change in MY life, and being afforded the opportunity to set change in motion where it is necessary in this incredible organization that is making a powerful impact in the world of mental health. https://lnkd.in/ghz9932R
