Ever wondered what being a corporate volunteer is actually like? Hear from the team at Cbus Super Fund about their experience volunteering at Meals with Impact: "We had a fantastic experience volunteering at Meals with Impact, packing meals for those in need. It was a wonderful opportunity for our team to come together, bond and contribute to such a meaningful cause. Everyone felt proud to be making a difference, and it truly strengthened our sense of teamwork. The entire day was filled with positive energy and a shared sense of purpose, knowing that we were helping to support the community. We look forward to returning and continuing to support this incredible cause, as well as encouraging the wider team to join us in the future volunteering efforts." Thank you to all of our corporate volunteers who collaborate with us to provide food relief to our local communities. Want to get your team involved? Send us an email at info@mealswithimpact.com.au! #CorporateVolunteering #FoodRelief #MealsWithImpact

What does volunteering look like? In its last State of the World’s Volunteerism Report (swvr2022.unv.org), United Nations Volunteers attempted to capture the depth and variety of global volunteering by identifying 5 different types of volunteer action: • MUTUAL AID—informal, person-to-person help • SERVICE—responding to the perceived needs of another community • CAMPAIGNING—amplifying marginalized voices • PARTICIPATION—in governance • LEISURE—volunteering around personal interests Please engage with these amazing resources and stay tuned for the fifth report, on MEASURING volunteering, scheduled to be published this year! →https://buff.ly/428zafW

✅The Power of Volunteering: Unlocking Purpose and Potential✅ As we go about our busy lives, it's easy to get caught up in our own goals and aspirations. But today, I want to shine a light on the incredible impact that volunteering can have - not just on the communities we serve, but on our own lives and careers. Volunteering embodies the spirit of empathy, kindness, and connection. It reminds us that we're part of something bigger than ourselves, and that our actions can make a real difference. Through volunteering, we can: ✨ Develop new skills and perspectives ✨ Build meaningful relationships and networks ✨ Enhance our emotional intelligence and empathy ✨ Find purpose and fulfillment beyond our day-to-day work So, let's celebrate the spirit of volunteering! Whether it's mentoring a young professional, serving at a local soup kitchen, or participating in a community clean-up initiative, every act of service counts. Led a session on the spirit of Volunteerism during the launch of the Citizens Assembly by SSA Community Engagement (North Central) ABIODUN Essiet 👌Share with me 👌How has volunteering impacted your life and career? #Volunteering #Purpose #Impact #CommunityFirst #KindnessMatters #CareerGrowth #PersonalGrowth #EmpathyInAction #careerpath #philanthropy #experience #giveback

What is the real value of employee volunteering? 🙋♀️ It's been more than a year since we implemented our volunteering scheme and we’ve seen first-hand how volunteering can give our people a renewed sense of purpose, deepen connections and create a sense of community. From conducting microplastics surveys to helping out on organic farms, we've collected some of the inspiring stories of how our people have given back to the community through our paid volunteering programme: https://lnkd.in/emU-RcCa #volunteering #employeevolunteering #community #greencause

Volunteering is more than just giving your time; it's about investing in the well-being of others. So, I advise you to look into volunteer activities in your area. Not only will you be making a difference in the lives of others, but you will also find the satisfaction and sense of belonging that comes with helping others. ✨ Let us use the power of volunteerism to develop stronger, more compassionate communities.

🤝Why Local Volunteer Work is So Important to Me🫶 Volunteering locally has always been a vital part of my life. It’s more than just giving back; it’s about building stronger communities, fostering meaningful connections, and making a tangible difference in the lives of those around us. Engaging in local volunteer work allows me to: 1. Connect with my community: By volunteering, I get to know the people and the unique needs of my area. This fosters a sense of belonging and mutual support. 2. See the impact: When I volunteer locally, I can witness firsthand the positive changes we create, from helping individuals in need to supporting community projects. 3. Learn and grow: Volunteering exposes me to new perspectives and skills, enhancing my personal and professional development. 4. Inspire others: By sharing my experiences, I hope to encourage others to get involved and contribute to our collective well-being. For example, I’ve been involved in cleaning up trash with the Bürgerverein on the weekend and serving as volontary leader at my local church. These activities not only help improve our environment and community but also bring people together for a common cause. With DCMN we support Samaritan's Purse (Christmas in a shoe box), Straßenkinder e.V. and Die ARCHE Kinderstiftung. Local volunteer work isn’t just beneficial for those we help; it enriches our lives and strengthens our communities. What local volunteer work do you do, and how has it impacted you and your community? Share your experiences in the comments! #Community #VolunteerWork #LocalEngagement #GivingBack #MakingADifference
