☝️Did you know that you can incorporate induction sealing into your lyophilized bead technology? Here’s a little story about an ATL machine handling freeze-dried reagents that we created for Diagnostics for the Real World (DRW) After a long time working in the life science industry, one day we received a call from our friends at Diagnostics for the Real World (DRW) They asked us if we could help them find a solution to improve their lyo-bead reagent production process.    💡The challenge? Following the freeze-drying procedure, also known as lyophilization, the reagent bead is quite fragile, highly susceptible to static and very sensitive to airborne moisture. This necessitates handling within a humidity controlled clean room and an accurate and precise technology for handling of the lyo-bead.    ➡Result? The Ultra Pilot Lyophilizer is suitable for pilot-scale work as well as small production runs. Shelf temperatures as low as -70C and condenser temperatures to -85C support a wide range of applications. Available in bulk or stoppering configurations and with up to 15 shelves. Each system is available with a selection of control formats and temperature and vacuum sensors. Condenser capacities of 35 or 50 liters allow you to select a high shelf surface-to-condenser surface ratio. This is most suitable when your application calls for freeze-drying products that require a very large amount of shelf area but contain less solvent such as many diagnostic kits and tissue banking applications.
