Recently the official career fair of our Faculty of IT, UoM was held on 8th of February, 2024. In that, I was in the official career fair website team 💻 I was able to optimize the search feature of the website and it went well. Here's a developer experience of mine turned into words. I’ll be at UF next week recruiting with Invisors! Stop by our booth to learn more about our consulting opportunities post grad 🐊 Why Invisors? Reaching senior year of college at UF, I still did not know what I saw myself doing post grad. I knew I wasn’t pulled towards the big corporations, I knew I didn’t want to feel like just a number, I knew a welcoming, close knit culture and feeling like my work had impact was the most important to me. And that’s about all I knew! I found Invisors at UF career fair, and felt right away how it was different than the other booths. The team that was recruiting (now my good friends) actually cared about who I was and what I wanted in a company. I expressed my reservations about working “corporate”, how I wanted a culture of *actually* caring, how I wanted remote flexibility, how I didn’t really know what I wanted to do, but I knew my strengths and I knew my weaknesses and was willing to LEARN! Invisors understood exactly where I was coming from - and they all felt the same way when they were in my shoes. I have noticed that throughout college, it is easy to feel pushed to work at a Fortune 50 company. I have friends that work at the big four accounting firms, I have friends that work at big banks, I have friends that work at the top consulting firms in the US… that is all great - BUT, know that sometimes, boutique is better!
