Hire 1 to hire 10. How does this apply to ABA? Many times when we go in to a town, we hire the top talent in that town. We hire a BCBA who is super passionate about building a team and helping families. Most of the time, they have 4-5 RBTs and interns that join them. They have existing relationships with referral sources. They want to break free from the current state of our industry. And we give them that opportunity. They can build their own team. They can hit the ground running. We hire 1 and all of a sudden we have 10. Scalability doesn’t have to be difficult. This is one part of how we are transforming ABA. #OneTown #OneTeam #AtATime

Think of primary, secondary, and tertiary outcomes rather than a single goal... Your service outcomes should be a catalyst for other things rather than a linear stop on a train line, as in not a single destination. Let me illustrate this with a pertinent example... #Employment... Many organisations in the space of helping disadvantaged groups of people find work focus on helping people get through the job search, interview process, and up to the point where a job offer is given and accepted. ✅ outcome achieved... ❌ No, not in my opinion, because it is fairly common for people who have been in prison or out of work for many years to struggle with adjusting to the expectations of conduct in a professional setting and the changes to the rhythm of one's life more generally. I've seen people secure a job on Friday and be let go the following Thursday for either not turning up or having an argument with a manager because they were spoken to in a way that was received as disrespectful. A more helpful approach is to also support someone through the onboarding process and pair the outcome with secondary and tertiary benefits we want to track and see, so the employment goal now becomes a layered outcome. 1️⃣st outcome - support someone to move from un or under-employed into work or improved employment position. 2️⃣nd outcome - successful completion of the onboarding or probationary period. 3️⃣rd outcome - improvements in financial literacy, budgeting, and reduction of outstanding debts as a result of employed status. Or stated improvements to use of time and relationships as a result of employed status. In summary, if being employed resulted in someone's mental or physical health deteriorating, would you still mark that off on your KPIs as a successful outcome?
