According to the National Confidential Inquiry into Suicide and Safety (2016), strangulation is the most common method of #suicide in psychiatric wards - with the ligature points on doors presenting a dangerous risk. It is vital that staff providing care to those who are facing the challenges of self-harm are alerted to potential suicide risks as early as possible. In doing so, staff can efficiently respond and feel secure in the knowledge that robust measures are in place to maintain patient safety. Pinpoint's advanced door top alarm interface is triggered when a ligature event takes place. Not only does it notify the Pinpoint display with location of the incident, but also lights up the top of the door to guide staff to the correct area as quickly as possible. The months leading up to birth, during birth, and after birth, are often a time of increased intervention by the medical system. Alongside this shift in autonomy frequently comes trauma, and it's reported that 20% to 68.6% of birthing people experience Birth Trauma.
