Business sector on board in unprecedented magnitude and numbers - companies making donations, employees volunteering NGOs leading the effort by way of an instinct - uniting around one cause Social workers, phsycilogists and educators offering assistance to anyone in need Doctors, medical staff, paramedics working around the clock fighting for every individual Restaurants using their facilities to cook for the combatants Artists are there to support, on field and online Civilians collecting food and equipment - leaving their houses to go out packing and transporting all across the country Reporters, as brave as ever - reporting real-time from war zones, stop at nothing. Employers supporting the families of those who left their families in order to fight at the front. Over 100% volunteers in all military units, the best and bravest of our people - and they don’t look back *** This isn’t over yet, horror is still happening. The world must see the sights and hear the blood-freezing sounds ; learn the necessary lessons. At almost 67 years old I can still say with no hesitation that my U.S. Peace Corps (Philippines) experience was THE most impactful thing I’ve done my entire life. Please consider supporting this org and Protect the Peace Corps for future generations…. There is no guarantee that the Peace Corps, as we know it, will continue to exist. The Peace Corps has endured many political changes, but now we are in an unprecedented and uncertain political environment. If you believe that the experience you had in the Peace Corps should be available for the next generation, we need your help now. I am asking every Returned Peace Corps Volunteer across the country to donate $50 (or whatever amount you can) to support the National Peace Corps Association's advocacy on Capitol Hill to save the Peace Corps. Just last year a Congressman introduced a bill to slash Peace Corps funding. The next Congress could be even worse, so we need to line up supporters in Congress from both parties right away. Since serving in the Peace Corps you may have never donated to a Peace Corps cause. I know I did not until I joined the NPCA Board two years ago. Now I realize how much is at stake. As a federal agency, the Peace Corps cannot advocate for itself on Capitol Hill. But as Returned Volunteers, we are 240,000 strong and we can mount a grassroots effort to save the Peace Corps. Please join our effort to fund our advocacy team by making your donation today. As Peace Corps Volunteers we are resilient and we fight against the odds and we can prevail again. 🇺🇸 Remembering 9/11 First Responders 🇺🇸 Today is the 22nd anniversary of 9/11, it's crucial to honor our first responders' unwavering bravery and to #neverforget. On that fateful day, firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and countless others rushed towards danger, exemplifying true heroism. Their sacrifices must not be forgotten. Here's how we can pay tribute: 1. Educate: Take time to recount these events with the younger generation, some people have already forgotten what happened that day. 2. Support: Donate to organizations helping first responders and their families. 3. Participate: Attend or organize local 9/11 memorial events, do a real hard workout in their memory. 4.
