I had the fortunate opportunity to be asked to develop a 4min video on my path from academia to industry for a CIHR funded program called myroad.ca. There were four main questions, which we split into four videos. This video is my answer to, in a broad sense, what medical education companies do. Active Learning Boosts Critical Thinking in Continuing Medical Education Continuing Medical Education (CME) plays a vital role in keeping healthcare professionals up-to-date. Active learning methods like problem-based and case-based learning approaches move away from passive lectures and engage participants in the learning process. By analyzing real-world scenarios and actively solving problems, learners develop: ▪ Stronger analytical skills to dissect complex medical issues. ▪ Enhanced critical thinking to weigh evidence and make informed decisions. ▪ Improved problem-solving abilities to navigate real-world clinical challenges. Active learning transforms CME from passive information delivery to a dynamic learning experience that fosters critical thinking, a cornerstone of effective medical practice. Have you experienced the power of active learning in CME? Share your thoughts in the comments! #Healthcare #Education #ActiveLearning
