Today is World Mental Health Day – a perfect time to pause and reflect on how we take care of ourselves and others, both at work and at home. 💚 In the fast pace of life, it’s easy to get caught up and forget the basics. Here are a few gentle reminders: - Take Breaks: Short, intentional breaks during the workday can do wonders for clarity and focus. - Be Kind to Yourself: Practice self-compassion. No one has it all figured out, and that’s okay. - Prioritize Sleep: Rest is key to both mental and physical health. - Lean on Your Support System: Whether at work or home, don’t hesitate to reach out for support when you need it. - Stay Connected: Meaningful connections with colleagues, friends, and family foster a sense of belonging and reduce stress. Let’s also remember to extend this kindness to those around us. A small act of empathy can go a long way. #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters #Wellbeing #SelfCare #WorkLifeBalance #Kindness

💜 Throughout this mental health awareness week, I've encountered several stories of challenges surmounted and situations still being bravely managed. It's amazing that beneath the smiles and laughter often on display, many are powering through the worst of storms and complexities. 🫂 As we all strive to guard our wellbeing, I'll leave one charge - Listen to what your body is telling you. Psychological strains often reflect in physical symptoms and we should do all in our power to not dwell in negativity but adopt simple changes that'll bring ease. A change of duvet colours, a plant, a 30 minute break or walk, a deep breath, a call for help. Yes, a little often goes a long long way as we navigate stressors from daily hassles or major life events. 🌼 I think it's extremely important to have wellbeing support you can turn to when it matters the most. Above all, I pray you find sufficient grace that strengthens. 2 Corinthians 12:9. What type of wellbeing support have you found most valuable? I painted this artwork (my very first 😃) at a mindfulness session with the Kent wellbeing team, Q1, 2023. 📈 I welcome your ratings on a scale of 1-10 as I may have just found my rainmaker side gig. What do you think? An 8..? #mentalheathawareness #productivity #thelittlethings #stress #wellbeing
