This is a unique opportunity for tourism MSMEs (micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises) to get involved in shaping the future of the sector. Call for experts and MSMEs is open until January 15th! At its core, the Interreg Europe program is about fostering knowledge-sharing and collaboration across regions. With Pilot Actions, we’re going a step further by testing new approaches to public intervention. Do you have an idea for a project that promotes digital and green transitions in tourism? "Medical Tourism is About Value for Money, Not Affordability" When it comes to medical tourism, it’s not just about finding the lowest price. Patients are increasingly focused on the value they receive for their investment in healthcare abroad. This means looking for destinations that offer top-quality care, state-of-the-art technology, and proven expertise, rather than simply opting for the cheapest option. For those traveling from the USA to destinations in LATAM, the goal is to find the best combination of quality, safety, and personalized service—because true value in medical tourism lies in receiving exceptional care at a fair cost, not just in cutting expenses. #medicaltourismusa #medicaltourism #medicaltourismcanada #travelforhealth #usatolatam

✈️ The Essence of Travel: Beyond the Destination ✈️ Travel is more than just arriving somewhere—it's about the experience and the growth that comes with it. Every adventure offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in new cultures, challenge your usual routine, and see the world through a different lens. It’s often the unplanned moments that leave the biggest impact: a spontaneous chat with a local, discovering an off-the-beaten-path spot, or savoring a traditional dish that carries generations of history. 🗺️ As travel evolves, the focus on responsible tourism becomes essential. Traveling mindfully, honoring local traditions, and choosing eco-friendly options can help protect the places we love for future generations. 🌱 #TourX #TourismExcellence #InternationalCollaboration #vocationalexcellence #CoVE #CoPCove iekAKMIedu - AKMI International | European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB) | BK CON | Camera di Commercio Italo-Ellenica di Salonicco | DAISSy research group | Small Enterprises' Institute - IME GSEVEE | Mundus | ENAIP Veneto | Confindustria Veneto SIAV | Universidade de Aveiro | ASOFUER Turismo Fuerteventura | EU Project Innovation Centre | Escuela de Hostelería Europea | Ausbildungsverbund Teltow e.V. -Bildungszentrum der IHK Potsdam | EOPPEP | Regional Development Fund of Attica | ST Skills Together | Regione Veneto | DEHOGA Bundesverband | Brandenburg | Landkreis Spree-Neiße | European Vocational Training Association - EVTA | European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME

Skal Europe Annual General Assembly 2024 On Saturday, 28 September 2024, Skal Europe held its Annual General Assembly online, bringing together members from across the continent to reflect on the year’s achievements, share insights, and outline plans. The virtual gathering was a testament to Skal Europe’s commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation within the tourism industry, despite the challenges of a digital format. Led by Skal Europe President Franz Heffeter, the assembly featured key updates, discussions on sustainability, and the much-anticipated presentation of the Skal Europe Sustainability Awards and Special Awards, celebrating the outstanding contributions of members who have significantly impacted the global tourism community. We want to dedicate this year’s Skal Europe Annual General Assembly to the memory of our dear friend and fellow board member, David Fontanella, who tragically passed away just two days after the event. His dedication and passion for Skal will always be remembered, and all of us will deeply miss him. 6 parallel sessions will be held during the #AivpWorldConference in 📍 Lisbon (Portugal) Track 1️⃣ 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 🗓 27 November 2024 One of the key flows in many port cities is created by the arrival of cruise ship passengers through the piers. This is both an opportunity and a challenge if not managed properly. The recent Covid-19 pandemic changed the way we look at this activity, accelerating certain transitions in the industry, such as becoming more environmentally sustainable and paying more attention to the demands of the destinations. Today, we look for a new balance between the touristic activities and the needs of local inhabitants. New fuels, OPS systems, new traffic management tools, new forms of tourism, and innovative mobility solutions help port cities manage these flows. In this session we will learn from different experiences in the sector, hearing different stakeholders share their perspectives and projects. 🔗 Discover the full updated programme: https://swll.to/UaAGSm2 and ✅ Register Now: https://swll.to/kuBPEI

France's first Regional Action Group Seminar: Working better together 💪 On October 10, Brest Métropole held the first French Regional Action Group at the Ateliers des Capucins. This dynamic event brought together around 20 local tourism stakeholders, including representatives from public institutions, private sector leaders, and community advocates, to discuss the good practices they are implementing to achieve a more sustainable tourism. 🌱 Participants shared innovative strategies and highlighted successful projects already making an impact in the region, emphasizing collaboration as a key element for meaningful change. Discussions also focused on joint actions that could be initiated, such as creating a 'green route' to encourage tourists to explore the city in an eco-friendly way and discover hidden gems, or setting up a user-friendly app that centralizes everything a tourist might need: recommendations, information, transport tickets, and more. 💡 This seminar is part of SeaLabHaus' ongoing commitment to fostering sustainable and inclusive tourism through collective effort. The insights gained from this meeting will contribute to building the SEALab catalog of good practices, which aims to serve as a valuable resource for other regions across the Atlantic Area. 📚✨ Thank you to our partners and participants for this enriching exchange of ideas and for paving the way towards a more resilient and sustainable future in tourism! 🤝 Stay connected as we continue to showcase and implement these practices to benefit communities and the environment alike. 🌍 #BlueTourism #SEALabHaus #SustainableTourism #Innovation #Collaboration #GoodPractices #Brest #NewEuropeanBauhaus Interreg Atlantic Area
