The rankings weigh the scores in Quality and Growth more heavily than other areas. Time period upon which the rating is based is from 12/31/2022 – 12/31/2023, and was released on 6/20/2024. Advisors considered have a minimum of seven years’ experience, a clean regulatory record with 2 or fewer complaints and no significant judgements, must have been with their current firm for at least two years and in good standing, and have at least $100 million in assets under management. Out of 1,816 total nominations received, 100 advisors received the award. This ranking is not based in any way on the individual's abilities in regards to providing investment advice or management. This ranking is not indicative of advisor’s future performance, is not an endorsement, and may not be representative of individual clients’ experience. Access to Capital   Women entrepreneurs often face challenges in accessing funding, whether through loans, venture capital, or other forms of investment. Only 2.4% of venture capital funding goes to women-owned businesses. This financial constraint can limit their ability to scale their businesses.  2. Network and Mentorship Gaps   Access to robust networks and mentorship opportunities is crucial for business growth. Women may have fewer connections in business and finance networks, limiting their access to valuable advice, partnerships, and opportunities.  3. Societal and Cultural Barriers   Societal expectations and cultural norms can affect women's confidence and willingness to take risks. These barriers can also influence how others perceive and support women entrepreneurs, impacting their business growth.  4. Work-Life Balance Challenges   Women often juggle multiple roles, including caregiving responsibilities, which can limit the time and energy they can dedicate to growing their businesses. This can be particularly challenging in the early stages of business development.  5. Underrepresentation in High-Growth Industries   Women are underrepresented in industries that traditionally have higher revenue potential, such as technology and finance.
