Today is #WorldSuicidePreventionDay.💚 This year’s theme, “Changing the Narrative on Suicide,” calls for all of us to shift the way we approach mental health and suicide prevention by fostering a culture of openness, understanding, and support. Our Mental Health recruitment specialist works alongside dedicated psychiatrists and mental health professionals who tirelessly support people struggling with suicidal thoughts. But, today's message is a reminder to us all: it's okay to talk about your mental health.💬 By having open conversations about suicidal thoughts, we can reduce stigma and create supportive environments for everyone. So, let’s work together to change the narrative. Every conversation contributes to a future where mental health is prioritised and support is always available. If you or someone you know is struggling, know that there is help out there.💚 #mentalhealthmatters

Today is Time to Talk Day. Happening annually, it is the perfect opportunity to start conversations among friends, families, communities, and workplaces, to talk, to listen and change lives. 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem each year. 45.8 million adults in the UK report experiencing symptoms of mental health problems. Speaking about mental health reduces stigma and helps to create supportive communities where we can talk openly about mental health, while feeling empowered to seek help when we need it. Talking about mental health isn’t easy. But it starts with a conversation that has the power to change lives. 💙 For more information about Time to Talk Day and how you can start these conversations, visit: https://lnkd.in/eiZSZCSm #TimeToTalk

💫This week marks Mental Illness Awareness Week, a critical time to focus on understanding and supporting mental health in our communities and workplaces. Mental health affects us all, yet stigma and misunderstanding often prevent open conversations and access to necessary support. Now more than ever, we must lean into empathy, foster environments where mental health discussions are welcomed, and actively work to dismantle stigma. Every conversation counts, and every small step can lead to a significant change. Let's commit to educating ourselves about mental health issues and supporting those who may be struggling. Whether it's a simple check-in with a colleague or attending a mental health workshop, your actions can make a difference.💚💚🧠 My Psychiatrist Join the movement to #EndTheStigma and promote #MentalHealthAwareness. May is Mental Health Month, a vital time to recognize and address mental health challenges. The recent passing of #GraysonMurray, a talented young golfer, underscores the importance of this cause. His loss is a poignant reminder that we must prioritize mental well-being in our lives and organizations. In the US, nearly 1 in 5 adults experience mental illness each year. This staggering statistic highlights the widespread nature of mental health challenges. We must continue to raise awareness, provide support, and create safe spaces for open conversations about mental health. In our monthly executive sessions and 121s, we do a mental health check-in, a #checkupfromtheneckup. How often do you stop to think about your mental health score? Let's break the stigma, support one another, and foster environments where mental health is openly discussed and actively supported. Together, we can make a difference. #MentalHealthAwareness #SupportEachOther #BreakTheStigma #leadership #continouslearning #servantleadership

But how are you really? Sometimes it’s easier to tell people we’re ‘fine’ than it is to say how we really feel. Today is Time to Talk Day - the Nation’s biggest mental health conversation. Happening every year, it’s a day for friends, families, communities, and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives, run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness. With 1 in 4 of us experiencing a mental health problem in any given year and the cost of living crisis making it harder to look after our mental health, the poorest fifth of the population are twice as likely to develop a mental health problem. That's why the more conversations we have, the better life is for everyone. Talking about mental health isn’t always easy and sometimes it’s even harder to say how you really feel. But a conversation has the power to change lives. So #TimetoTalkDay is the perfect opportunity to start a conversation about mental health. Mental health does not discriminate, but sadly, access to mental health care often can. July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, which highlights the specific mental health challenges and needs of the historically underserved. Unique stressors such as racism can contribute to a heightened sense of fear and anxiety, creating bias and barriers to well-being that many communities of color face daily. We have a responsibility to bridge these gaps. We are proud to work closely with community-based organizations across the nation to provide mental health screenings, services, and care that are culturally sensitive and accessible. These collaborations also offer depression screenings at no cost to patients, because we believe mental health care is a right, not a privilege. Patients can also visit select MinuteClinic locations and schedule virtual appointments in select states, where licensed mental health professionals can screen for and diagnose depression, as well as provide counseling and create personalized treatment plans to address feelings of stress, anxiety, grief, depression, and more. Together, we can create a world where mental health support is inclusive and where the health and well-being of every individual is prioritized. #MinorityMentalHealthAwarenessMonth

Today is #TimetoTalk Day here in the UK, your chance to engage in the nation’s biggest mental health conversation. ⏰ One in four people reading this will experience mental health problems at some point in their life, and today is aimed at encouraging friends, families, communities, and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives. “Not too bad”. How often do we use or hear this phrase during any given week? Sometimes “not too bad” can actually mean “scared, alone and in need of help”. Let’s get talking. If you’d like to talk, or would like to discuss our mental health work with organisations and businesses, we have a number of ways you can get in touch. https://bit.ly/3VopeYP
