📢 Calling all Global One Health experts. At last week's symposium Paradigm Shifts for Global One Health in #Wageningen we started an online resource to bring together #OneHealth researchers and practioners from around the world. 💡 🌏 This worldwide map makes it easy to find GOH practitioners to collaborate with. You can add your location including your areas of expertise and a paper or other knowledge products of your choice (e.g. a poster or video). You are free to add your email if you are okay with people contacting you for questions and invitations for collaboration. 🗺 This map is intended to facilitate future collaborations and knowledge exchange. Tip: create a profile before entering your information, to make future editing possible 😉 We're getting a nice cover already, but we need pins in a couple more countries! Today, I had the privilege of attending the WellFounded Health Summit - Leaders in Health 2024, and I’m still processing the wealth of knowledge, innovation, and inspiration it delivered. This summit showcased the brightest minds and boldest ideas shaping the future of health and prevention. One of the most remarkable aspects was the diversity of people and perspectives represented. Leaders from science, medicine, technology, industry, media, investment, and even creative arts came together, each bringing unique insights. This melting pot of expertise created a palpable spirit of collaboration. Key takeaways for me included: 👉 Prevention as a priority: By focusing on prevention, we can add not just years to life but quality to those years. 👉 Movement is medicine: Harnessing the power of movement to improve both mental and physical health is a game-changer. 👉 Investment in prevention pays off: Prioritising health innovation does not only provide ROI for investors but also a sustainable path for communities and health services. 👉 The rise of GLP-1 therapies: These treatments are becoming a prominent part of conversations about tackling major health challenges. I want to extend my deep gratitude to the Dr Jack Kreindler and the organisers for curating such a phenomenal experience. The effort, passion, and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the event. It was fantastic to meet in person so many healthcare innovators: Dr Tom Gedman Dr Emma Presern Dr Linda Mizun to name a few. #HealthInnovation #Longevity #Prevention #WellFounded

Sweden has a newly updated life science strategy and we need to stay focused on driving our ability to fully harvest, utilize and share health data. We only invest 3% in prevention and health data can be a key driver towards more effective programs to improve health outcomes and prevent chronical dieases and their comorbidities
Jakob Forssmed, Minister for Social Affairs and Public Health at EY with the ‘meet the leaders’ program by AmCham Sweden - American Chamber of Commerce in Sweden. With a genuine talk and incredibly generous Q&A session, Jakob set the tone on the need to create a better tomorrow and improve our ability to stay healthy and resilient. Loneliness and social isolation create a lot of bodily stress and excess spending in healthcare; people who are connected with other people fare better. Togetherness, driving and participating in social connections were key messages. Sweden also has a newly updated life science strategy and we need to stay focused on driving our ability to fully harvest, utilize and share health data. We only invest 3% in prevention and perhaps data can be a key to drive more effective programs to improve health outcomes. As always, fully packed in our cozy Client Lounge and plenty of time to network with people from the ecosystem of Health, Life Science and AmCham community. Thank you Peter Dahlen, Olivia Rönnlöv and team AmCham for great collaboration.

Today is actually my first time to witness the Department of Health - Bureau of International Health Cooperation’s International Health Partners’ Forum. From what I understood from the forum, it’s a quarterly activity led by the Secretary of Health, to meet and discuss with ODA partners and other INGOs, discuss priorities and strategies of the health sector and how partners can effectively support it. What I learned are - it’s amusing how sometimes so many individuals and institutions are working on the same desired results and goals, but can remain unaware of the bigger picture, of how others are also doing the same things for the same desire. It’s also interesting how “multi sectoral” and “collaboration” still seems a difficult endeavor to achieve these days. Definitely, this experience today is new to me. And yeah, its also my first time to interact with other people in the Bureau outside the sphere of the CCM Secretariat. Realization on that - “peopleing” is tiring. But it’s also good to step out of my hole in the office and see other living things, aside from the plant on my table.
