Why should you think twice before selling heavy equipment to key account customers in Thailand. With high competition, key account customers have become spoilt by the sellers. The battlefield for heavy equipment sales is tough, with supply far exceeding demand. Here are 5 things you can expect from these customers: 1.) Never-ending bargaining. Unless they're die-hard fans of your brand, they'll always use your price to get a better deal from the competition. 2.) Extended payment terms. They'll push for long, interest-free installment plans. 3.) Longer warranties or extended services. 4.) Freebies. Whatever you can provide, they’ll expect them. 5.) Factory visits that feel more like overseas vacations. It’s not their fault. The market has shaped these behaviors. On the positive side, they can serve as valuable references for your marketing. So, it's not all bad especially when you have received a bigger lot order and great support from the factory. Let’s start from the start… You may see adverts for an ARO saying you must have experience in: 📜 Refuelling ⛽️ 📜 Ground Handling 🧳 📜 Check-in 💁🏻♂️ While the employer may want these attributes, CASA do not. Below is the extract from MOS Part 139 with the training requirements for an ARO. It’s probably less than you would expect. Before you stop being a quality allrounder, remember you may wear many hats in the course of your day. Just don’t forget how to report based on the hat you’re wearing, such as: ✈️ Air Operator ⛽️ Fuel Company ⛏️ Mine Site, Shire or Aerodrome Operator If in doubt, only complete work you’re qualified to do and ask if you are unsure. A great place to start is your Accountable Manager. (MOS Part 139 Section 13.02)
