As we continue observing the 16 Days of Activism, we focus and champion for women voices in the community and in decision making tables. Every Woman/Girl has a right to be listened to and to be given space to share what they have in their mind and be accorded equal opportunities as their male counterparts within our communities. 🌍 The Power of Unity in the Face of Adversity 🌍 Yesterday I attended a thought-provoking session on Women in War at The Nine which left me deeply moved by the courage and resilience of women who have been at the forefront of unimaginable challenges. The stories shared highlighted both the personal and collective struggles women face in conflict zones – from maintaining families and communities amid chaos to leading peace-building efforts in spaces where their voices are often marginalized. I know and knew that when women rise together, they become a powerful force for peace and change. Across different cultures and regions, women have shown that true security means more than just the absence of conflict. It’s about ensuring that everyone has a stake in a sustainable, inclusive future. For the guys 🥸, it’s backed by UN Research that showed that peace agreements are 35% more likely to last at least 15 years when women are involved. 👻 Mind-blowing don’t you think?
