I met with a frustrated Physical Therapist this week for coffee. She told me she at their clinic they see each other's patients. There is not one consistent way in which the physical therapists write goals for the patients. She was frustrated because it wasn't clear what the goal was working with the patient. Here are some examples she gave me of how a bad and a good goal make a difference for her patients: Poorly Written Goal: Client is able to walk Smart Goal: The patient will walk unassisted for 200 feet without pain within 8 weeks, by increasing walking distance by 20 feet each week through guided therapy and home exercises. Once the clearly defined outcome is defined, the next step is breaking down a roadmap to get there. This detailed work on the front end provides clarity for whoever is working with the patient, but also for the patient. Good news! This physical therapist is working with the team to get everyone one the same page to better serve their clients!

If you are an athletic trainer at any point in your career & are tired of not being over worked & under paid, have no work life harmony, or are just plain burnt out, take a look at the industrial setting!! The leadership of the NATA has done a huge injustice to its membership by not promoting, pushing, & making its members aware of all the benefits of this setting. There is a VITAL need for our services in these places. For too long we have been blinded by the care of children. Calling for an AT in every high school is an unrealistic pipe dream. Leaving our salaries in the hands of administrators who truly have no clue what we are capable of as allied highly trained medical professionals hoping that salary surveys will change it is the definition of insanity. The parents of these children who are working in industries across the nation are being chewed up & spit out. It’s time for the NATA & its membership to focus on an area of need that can put an end to useless & meaningless salary surveys & 100 hour work weeks. Briotix Health helped me rediscover a love for a profession that I was burnt out from. Appreciation, compensation, harmony w/my life & the ability to NOT have to sell your soul to do what you love REACH OUT! I’m more than happy to help answer any questions.
We are hiring Industrial Sports Medicine Professionals, Ergonomists, and Physical Therapists accross the United States (plus some international opportunities)! Check all locations and positions on our careers site ➡️ https://bit.ly/3xLxgVS

“Why did you choose to be a Physical Therapist?” It’s a question I’ve heard countless times from family, friends, and colleagues. And I can’t blame them for asking—why pursue a career in Physical Therapy? With a demanding 7-year educational journey ahead, while also juggling family and work commitments, it might seem impractical to invest so much time, money, and energy into a field where the average salary in my area is around $70k per year. If it were all about the investment, why not aim for a career that promises a higher income or more prestige? The answer is simple: it’s not about the money; it’s about the impact. It’s about helping people regain their health and mobility without resorting to surgery or letting them fall into crippling medical debt. It’s about being the person who guides someone through their recovery and makes a tangible difference in their quality of life. I chose Physical Therapy not to chase financial gain or public recognition, but to follow a calling that lets my passion for helping others, my altruism, truly shine. For me, it’s about using the skills I will develop to serve, uplift, and empower patients on their path to healing.

**🎉 Celebrating Physical Therapist Month! 🎉** Physical therapists dedicate themselves to helping individuals reclaim their lives. Throughout our lives, we strive for growth and independence. In the whirlwind of daily activities, it’s easy to underestimate the importance of the small actions we take until an unforeseen event—such as an accident, a medical condition, or even something as common as tripping over a rug—disrupts our routine. From family members to friends and coworkers, the rehabilitation needed to regain a person's activities of daily living (ADLs) is imperative. Patients may have many days when they find it challenging to attend therapy due to pain, frustration, or sheer exhaustion. Despite these hurdles, your physical therapist understands and remains calm, patient, and compassionate, gently motivating patients to persist with therapy, even during the toughest moments. By raising awareness about these medical heroes and the essential support they offer, we can inspire patients to stay committed throughout their treatment journeys, ultimately helping them regain their strength and independence. **💪 Thank you to all the physical therapists for your dedication and hard work!** #PhysicalTherapy #HealthcareHeroes #Rehabilitation #PatientCare #YogiRehab #HomeTherapy #OutpatientTherapy #RehabAtHome

Something that sets Curnyn PT apart from the rest? 👉 You'll work with the same physical therapist throughout your entire treatment. While other clinics shuffle patients from PT to PT, every Curnyn patient receives a primary physical therapist who takes charge of their treatment plan (and sees them every week). Why? Because we believe that working with a physical therapist who thoroughly understands your condition, circumstances & goals is the best way to achieve success. Who's with us?! #fortworthmoms #FortWorth #fortworthtx #fortworthtexas #physicaltherapy #physicaltherapyassistant #physicaltherapytexas #physicaltherapylife
