"America’s 56 insurance commissioners and their teams are working to ensure that climate-related risks are appropriately addressed and also to strengthen the insurance market and the economy at large. Attached is yet another example of the madness Texas insurance companies have to deal with. I encourage you to read the well-written opinion by Judge Rosenthal of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas issued on April 8, 2024, dismissing yet another lawsuit filed by Houston policyholder attorney Eric Dick. And take a look at footnote 1, where the court talks about the plaintiff’s failure to submit a declaration from her expert witness Richard Gadrow because it appears that he died last year. Now here’s where it gets really weird. Yes, Richard Gadrow did in fact die on June 2, 2023.  https://lnkd.in/gfcm8sEr Not to be deterred by death, on the same day Judge Rosenthal dismissed the plaintiff’s lawsuit, Mr. Dick filed his trial witness list. And who surprisingly appears on the plaintiff’s trial witness list as an expert witness? None other than Richard Gadrow (the witness list is attached after the dismissal opinion). Man, I sure wish this case hadn’t been dismissed. That would’ve been some very interesting trial testimony. Yes, a bit of dark humor. But, as I said at the beginning of this post, here is yet another example of the madness Texas insurance companies (and their defense counsel) have to deal with.   By the way, Morgan Elite Specialist Services- Matthew Morgan , are you aware that you were named by Mr. Dick as an expert witness in this matter?
