Composable/Headless commerce has been a really lame buzzword and trend Whether you’re for it or against it, too many people latched on to this trend as if it was an actual solution - it’s not. It’s a philosophy and approach to building - which is much less important than the value of a solution. There is a big gap between “how to think about building something” and the actual end result of the solution you’re building. The focus should have been on: - The specific tools and frameworks that give a business X benefits - The platforms that enabled Y for a business - How those lead to development efficiency, marketing agility, site speed, etc. that enabled Z growth By just talking about the “headless philosophy”, you focus on the approach more than the problem you’re trying to solve for the business - that’s a recipe for disaster If a solution solves a problem and delivers clear value to a business, that matters WAY more than the fact that it uses API-first/microservices approach #headlesscommerce #shopifyplus
