Picture this, you are walking into an event. And: A long line to register Infomercials sold as sessions 1000 sessions Weak speakers 1hr long sessions 10pt font ‘Can I scan you?’ Immediate pass. Many events get a bad rap exactly for this. As an event professional, you can’t control everything. But those events that: Pre-check or use check-in kiosks Heavily curate sponsored sessions Prioritize session quality Prioritize content Shorten session time Provide presentation assistance Educate exhibitors Have an edge. It’s 2024. Things have changed. How did you make your event 2024-friendly? P.S. I flesh out what a modern event looks like every Wednesday in my free newsletter. Link at the top of my profile
