Location: Houston, TX - Flexible Schedule Available
Responsibilities
Coordinates standard recruiting and placement practices and procedures
Identify appropriate and effective external sources for candidates for all levels of the organization
to attract a broad candidate base, utilizing cost effective, industry appropriate job boards, social networking sites, local associations, and other sources as necessary
Work with Vice President of Human Resources to develop staffing strategies and implement workforce planning /succession plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the organization for key and critical positions of responsibility;
Hire, coach, and mentor Talent Acquisition team
Develop a network of college job placement programs and coordinate teams to attend job fairs and college recruiting opportunities.
Prepare and maintain standard reports/dashboards as necessary to carry out functions of department; open positions, workforce planning, days to fill. Participate and collaborate in committees/teams across SUSA and Crawford for process improvement or to create new initiatives
Create and communicate pertinent information to different levels of the organization
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in examining and re-engineering recruiting policy and procedures, formulating, developing, and implementing new strategies and procedures.
Knowledge of HR law as it pertains to interviewing, recruitment, and selection practices
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Understands the industries in which the organization competes; awareness of how external and internal forces impact the organization; possesses general knowledge and understanding of business areas such as finance, sales & marketing, and information technology.
The ability to convey information in a thorough, clear, and timely manner which supports information sharing and goal achievement.
Drives results and success, conveys a sense of urgency; drives issues to closure and persists despite obstacles and opposition.
Develops broad, cooperative relationships with diverse groups and individuals even when having no direct authority over them.
