“The Super Bowl can mean different things to different people. Depending on who you are, it can be about the multi-million dollar beer ads, the Super Bowl squares or even the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce romance.
But if there's one thing college kids can agree upon, the Super Bowl means greasy, mouthwatering food.”

"It is Dramatic - and Dangerous!" 🎭 ☠ 🧀
OK, so your #Hyperbole has got my attention. Luckily, merely reporting on The Great Cheese Roll is somewhat less of both. Although you've gotta feel disappointed in the online BBC News headline efforts: 'As Gouda as it gets' - really? Is that the best they've got? It should, surely, have been an absolute Brie-ze for them!
Do NOT adjust your sets. Yes, that still image really does show the true gradient of the increasingly world-famous Cooper's Hill, near the Gloucestershire village of Brockworth. Apparently, that's enough to attract keen competitors from all over the globe.🌍 Which seems a long way to travel, simply to secure a trip to A&E / ER. Plus an "Alphabet of Adjectives". But at least the event is "free to enter". So that makes it alright, I guess?
"England is mad. I love it; I love it! I'm buzzin'; I'm buzzin'!"
The BBC offers more than two hours of footage, of all the men's, women's and children's races, on its iPlayer portal, for those who can access it. Sorry, did you just say 'children's races'?🚸 Is that even legal? It's certainly a #HealthAndSafety nightmare.
You'd surely need to be enduring the slowest of news days to watch the whole thing. But the 3.5 minute clip at the link shared below should sate your appetite. Until NEXT year, at least. When I suspect even more elite international "talent" will hope to join the excited throng...
I previewed this event at the start of the UK's long holiday weekend. But nobody seemed to be put off by my warnings of previous injuries and hospitalisations. Far from it, in fact. They seemed to provide additional motivation. Should any have been required: https://lnkd.in/eViGjCCd
I genuinely did feel slightly sorry for those involved in the comedic false start, in the women's race. They'd come all that way, just to provide the "Sporting" soundbite of the year, so far:
"They are not even chasing a cheese."
Suggesting it was this oversight, alone, which made their pointless participation crazy.
The nearby Tetbury Woolsack Race seems eminently sensible, by comparison.🐏 Clue: it isn't!
But could you do BOTH, next year?
I'm pretty sure somebody's gonna try, some time soon.😱

Owner of Savannah Bananas, Creator of Banana Ball, Author of Fans First & Find Your Yellow Tux, Keynote Speaker
My pregame speech in Cleveland focused more on the future than any talk I've given to our organization. After launching our first ever Banana Ball Youth Tournament in Cleveland with 900 kids, I knew going into our fourth MLB Stadium, we had a much bigger responsibility to these kids than ever before.
Before the game, I wanted to leave the right message to our entire organization about the obligation we had with the next generation of Banana Ball players in the audience.
What were they going to see from us? How were we going to make them feel? What fans first moments would we create for them?
I believe 100% that these kids could be the future of Banana Ball. What they experienced from us would help shape their views on not only what the Bananas were all about but what Fans First was all about.
We owed it to them to show the fun and joy we bring to the game but also the dedication that we bring to the fans. And not just the fans in general, but our focus on one fan at a time, and one kid at a time.
As we always say, "Every game is someone's first game," but this night felt even more important because of what it could mean for the future. At the end of the night our goal was to leave Cleveland proud of the experience we provided.
I'm proud to say we did that and then some and I'm so grateful for our team for always believing in who we are, what we stand for and delivering on that promise.
