We were tasked with implementing a real-time data synchronization feature to ensure seamless updates across multiple user devices. Leveraging WebSocket technology and a robust backend architecture, we aimed for instant data reflection without delays. However, ensuring data consistency and managing WebSocket connections at scale posed unique hurdles. We optimized code for efficient message handling, implemented connection pooling strategies, and fine-tuned infrastructure for top-notch performance and reliability.     Is anyone truly a "Full Stack" Engineer? 👀 What does it actually mean? 💭 One of the most interesting comments (in my opinion) that came from The Engineering Gathering was: "𝙄𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙖 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙮 𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙧 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙨?" I feel there is a bit of a misconception (at least in recruitment anyway), that if you are proficient with a backend programming language e.g. Java and pair that with proficiency of some front end coding language/framework e.g. React then you are a full stack developer. Sure, I guess you are "Full-Stack"... to a degree. But after taking a step back earlier this week and listening to a group of tech leaders discussing this, it became quickly apparent that there is a lot more involved in the "Full Stack" or the "Entire stack" than just this. Take into account Infrastructure, databases, automation, testing etc. How many people are equally proficient at all these things? Are there full stack engineers or just full stack teams? Interested to hear other opinions on this! 👇 The Gatherings

    Database tip You don't want to end up with partial waste data in your database if your code errors at any point. This could interfere we future queries and it will clutter the database.
