Sugar in wine! 🍭 Or rather — the lack thereof. 🌵 The vast majority of wines are dry, meaning they have no sugar remaining in them after fermentation. There are exceptions (this is wine, after all!) but here are a few tips about sweetness, dryness, and finding a wine to love.🍷 #wine #winelover #instawine #winestagram #vino #winelovers #wineeducation #wineeducator #winetasting #sugar #nosugar #sweetwine #sweetred #portwine #port #drywines

Happy #winewednesday. Pura Vida from Costa Rica! We’re continuing the 5 part series about the basic wine characteristics. When it comes to finding the best wines for your unique tastes, the key lies in the balance - we want the key qualities to complement one another. Today we are diving into Tannins, which is one of these key qualities, along with acidity, alcohol, sweetness and body. Are you a fan of high-tannic wines? Tell me your thoughts in the comments. I’ll post the links to the previous videos on sweetness and acidity in the comments. #smellthecork #wineeducation #winebusiness #scoutandcellar #winetasting #wine

The general principles of wine and food pairing are as follows: 1. Match intensity: Pair wines and dishes with similar intensity levels. Light-bodied wines tend to go well with light dishes, while full-bodied wines are better suited for rich, bold foods. 2. Complement flavors: Choose a wine that complements the flavors of the dish. #foodwinespirits #grape #wine #grapes #fruit #winelover #winetasting #winetime #winelovers #food #instawine #redwine #winestagram

Wine Education Wednesdays 🍷 This wines got legs! But what does that actually mean and what can you tell about a wine that has more prominent legs? ‘Wine Legs’ are the trickles of liquid that cascade down the sides of the glass after you’ve swirled your wine around a bit (…like so ☝️). Wines with higher sugar, tannin, and alcohol content will have slower, thicker, more pigmented looking legs – so before even tasting your wine, you can predict these characteristics just by observing the legs. 🦵 But that really is about all they are good for… A common misconception is that more prominent legs = better quality, when in reality they should only be used to judge certain structural characteristics of a wine. The real quality of a wine can only ever be determined by the nose and palate. Phew - drink up! 🥂 #wineeducationwednesday #winewednesday #wine #winelegs #legs #winefacts #wineknowledge #wino #winelovers #waudwines #wineclub
