"Gen Z is entering the workforce and beginning to level up in a very different world from past generations. Many graduated during the pandemic lockdowns and then began working in a remote or hybrid capacity – meaning their onboarding and socialization has been rough at best. So, they have none of the context, but all of the pressure and 10x the technology many of your readers did when joining the workforce. "But let’s be clear, Gen Z doesn’t want your beliefs, affirmations or, condemnations we want your impact. This doesn’t mean employers are responsible for solving all of the world’s social problems, but it does mean that employers must be in tune with the issues and opportunities adjacent to their industry or workforce, and then co-create solutions with passionate young employees to make positive change. We aren’t looking for you to save the world, but we do expect you to help solve the pressing issues in your world." DSM is so lucky to have her and the young professional community is stronger because of her. The technology community in Iowa is top notch and it's only going to be better in the future because of people like her. As Brian Waller always says Iowa is the best state for technology in Iowa. Last, but definitely not least, is Ryan Rohlf with Keller Williams. I've known Ryan now for a long time and he invests so much into people. He was also one of the biggest hype people for the annual LinkedIn Holiday Meet up last week. He cares for the community and his clients. It's been fun watching him grow professionally and personally over the last 6 or so years. If you see him definitely say hello.
