Introvert Guide : How To Change People’s Minds? I think it is unfair not to give a movie or film feature a chance. There is always virtue behind providing a rebooted brand a helping hand by experiencing, for the first time, what said Film Company brand is offering. Yes, true, the said brand made several mistakes, in the past, that diminished its ability to convert potiential movie goers... but it is trying to rebuild itself and hoping to be competitive versus its immediate rivals. For me, Rebuilding GMA Pictures’ brand is a titanic undertaking. Note the word Titanic. It is like raising a massive ship that sunk many years ago. Perhaps what it needs is to understand the middle class moviegoers’ culture and be more prudent with regards to coming up with stories that affect the bottom line of ordinary people. Thrashing comments or bashings are part of the game. But acknowledging online hacks or grifters does not help in the effort of rebuilding a faded brand. We know what will be the outcome of this MMFF charades. The strongest brand will win and Affinity will play an important role. The question is... given these realities... How do you change people’s minds? Best wishes to GMA Pictures. #starmagic #MMFF2024 #pitchingideas #writing #gmastorytellers #GMAIntegratedNews #GMARegionalTV #GMA #GMAIntegratedNews #GMA #Ratings #GMARegionalTV #ratingsvsaward #engagement #television #tentpole #creative #streaming #CignalTV #ABSCBN #TV5 #Kapamilya #Kapatid #Kapuso #creative #promo #marketingdigital

As a Georgian for the last 23 years, I've seen the film industry take off locally. Last year alone, Georgia hosted 390 productions including 31 feature films, 55 independent films, 241 television and episodic productions, 40 commercials, and 23 music videos. (Thank you for that accounting, GPB!) Against that backdrop of local relevance, I'm excited to share our McKinsey & Company report on Asians and Pacific Islanders (API) in Hollywood. The research, led in part by colleague and good friend Jackie Wong shows that while there’s been a surge in content featuring API characters and storylines, more than two-thirds of API consumers are dissatisfied with the authenticity of their representation in film and television. What’s at stake? Addressing these perceptions could unlock a $2-4 billion opportunity per year for the industry. Key takeaways from the report: - While API representation has grown over the past 20 years, API actors are still underrepresented in US-produced content. - There are specific hurdles for API content in showcasing genuine characters and narratives, such as race-neutral films and animated series. - Behind-the-scenes gatekeepers are essential to ensuring that API stories and characters are portrayed authentically. - The film and television industry has a multibillion-dollar opportunity to capitalize on this trend. Embarking on the journey of independent filmmaking often feels like navigating uncharted waters. As we dove deep into creating our latest indie project, we were met with a major hurdle: market saturation. With countless films streaming on platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime, it became a real challenge to make our voice heard among the noise. Instead of letting this setback discourage us, we banded together as a team to rethink our strategy. By leveraging social media to build a robust online presence and engaging with our audience through storytelling, we managed to carve out our niche in this crowded space. It's incredible how impactful authentic engagement can be! The outcome? We saw a substantial increase in our audience engagement and reach, with more viewers tuning in than we initially thought possible. This experience taught us that flexibility and creativity are paramount in a rapidly changing distribution landscape. So, to all fellow indie creators out there: embrace the obstacles! Use them to fuel your innovation and connect deeply with your audience. Remember, your unique stories deserve to shine. 🌟 #IndependentFilm #IndieCinema #Storytelling #FilmCommunity #CreativeProcess

THE HISTORY YOU SHOULD KNOW!! Freedom at Midnight on SonyLIV is a triumph not only of storytelling but of cinematic craft. It is a series that dares to grapple with the enormity of its subject, presenting history not as a series of dates and events but as a living, breathing narrative of choices, compromises, and enduring consequences. With its eloquent writing, masterful performances, and impeccable visual design, Freedom at Midnight stands as a towering achievement. It is not merely a recounting of India’s partition—it is an exploration of the human spirit’s resilience in the face of unimaginable adversity. In its unflinching portrayal of history’s complexities, it offers a poignant reminder that freedom, though precious, often comes at a price too dear to measure. #OTT #SonyLIV #Viralpost #streaming #contentmarketing #marketing #socialmedia #webseries #digitalmarketing #indiawins

The old way: • Make a film. • Submit to festivals. • Hope for a distributor to notice. • Get angry when no one watches it. • Wonder if filmmaking is even worth it. The new way: • Make a film. • Build a loyal audience. • Use niche streaming platforms to reach them. • Engage your fans to create word-of-mouth buzz. • Grow your reach organically. Independent films thrive when they connect deeply first, then grow widely. The future belongs to filmmakers who think like marketers. ✌🏻
