What a fantastic event to close the year! It was truly a privilege to connect with so many talented individuals who continue to inspire and empower me. The wonderful panellists Anthony Marter, Ha Nguyen, Maddy Paviell and Zachary Wong shared genuine and insightful reflections on the skills required for both Business Analysts and Product Owners. Essential qualities like great communication, active listening, curiosity, understanding customer value, and being proactive stood out as vital for success. For those considering a transition from BA to PO, the panel emphasized demonstrating ownership and deepening your understanding of commercial impact—skills that resonate strongly with me. Reflecting on my journey, I’m confident that I’m on the right path. Many of these attributes have been key focuses in my own career. In my current role, one of my responsibilities is to analyze how we can deliver more value to customers while strengthening our company’s leadership and influence within the industry. This event reinforced just how critical this work is and how aligned it is with my aspirations.
