I work with Financial Advisors considering changing BDs or RIAs or selling their business. As CEO/Co-Founder at Bridgemark Strategies we help hundreds of advisors per year.
Everyone should pay attention to this article and potential new rule change. Especially if it is implemented in a similar manner as to what’s being described, as it could have some of the greatest impact on insurance company owned broker dealers. Over the last several years insurance company owned broker dealers have been selling their broker dealers to traditional independent broker dealers. Just in the last 12 months we’ve seen Minnesota Life sell their bd Securian to Cetera Financial Group, Prudential Financial is shutting down their bd and going to fold it into LPL Financial and most recently Lincoln Financial Advisors sold to Osaic Over the last 10 years there are a lot more names we can add to this list. There are still a lot of insurance bds left and more importantly thousands of advisors that are at insurance bds. What is the future for them? #wealthmanagement #financialadvisor #lplfinancial #bridgemarkstrategies #cetera #osaic

There are several reasons why businesses, regardless of size or industry, need workers’ compensation insurance: ✔️ Legal Requirement: In most jurisdictions, workers’ compensation insurance is mandatory for businesses with employees. Failure to comply with legal requirements can result in fines, penalties, and legal liabilities. ✔️ Financial Protection: It covers medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and lost wages, reducing the financial burden on injured employees and safeguarding businesses from costly lawsuits. ✔️ Employee Morale and Retention: Demonstrating a commitment to employee well-being by providing workers’ compensation coverage enhances morale, loyalty, and job satisfaction. Employees feel valued and supported, leading to higher retention rates and productivity. ✔️ Risk Management: By addressing workplace safety, implementing preventive measures, and having insurance coverage in place, businesses can mitigate risks and protect their bottom line. Workers’ compensation is an insurance provided by employers to pay for the care of employees who are injured or become disabled in the course of executing their duties. Employers across the U.S. currently pay billions of dollars in workers’ compensation premiums—that amount varies depending on the risks associated with the particular industry and the particular job, and also depending on the number and size of workers’ compensation claims a company has filed. It is in the best interest of every company to know how to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses. Supervisors and managers must understand what they can do not only to help employees who need to file claims, but also how to prevent injuries and illnesses in the first place to manage rising insurance premiums and lost work time. This training resource is for use by health and safety managers, officers, and trainers to train workers who file workers' compensation claims to be able to recognize the purpose and benefits of workers’ compensation, complete reports and help workers file claims, maintain contact with employees on leave and ease their return to work and help prevent workplace accidents and keep workers’ compensation costs down 🔸 Complete Training Pack: PowerPoint Slide Trainer’s Guide Speaker’s Note Quiz Ex...
