Aside from the advanced technology built into Janam's GTX, there are some great practical advantages to Janam's new mobile entry pedestal that is being used at high-profile events like the PGA TOUR. 1. Its lightweight and flexible design makes it extremely easy to manage access control for large event sites that feature varied terrains and multiple entrances. Something bulky and heavy can't easily be moved throughout a golf course, festival site etc. 2. GTX features a detachable base, allowing the pedestal to be compactly boxed. This makes it convenient for events that frequently shift locations - and ideal for space-saving storage during the off-season. Want to learn more about Janam Technologies ' GTX? As South Carolina’s premier PGA TOUR event, the RBC Heritage has been a staple on Hilton Head Island since 1969. This year, the organizers have rolled out Janam’s new GTX Mobile Entry Pedestals to ensure safe, secure and speedy ingress for all attendees. Unlike other pedestal solutions, GTX is light and mobile, designed for easy transport and movement throughout any facility or event. Janam is extremely proud to be the preferred choice of Ticketmaster and the PGA for flexible and reliable access control solutions! 🐲 Our dbDragons made waves at the Stanley Dragon Boat International Championship in Hong Kong last week! 🛶🌊 Our dragon boat team gave their all against a competitive field of teams in Hong Kong’s 270-meter Dragon Boat race, finishing with the Gold Bowl Merit trophy. Cheered on by thousands along the shore of Stanley Beach, the motley crew came together from across divisions, and showcased what teamwork and dedication can achieve. Come rain or shine, no matter how choppy the waters were, they trained together on the southern tip of Hong Kong Island every weekend in the months leading up to the competition. Working in sync towards a shared goal are qualities mirrored by our colleagues both on the water and at work. Here’s what some of the crew had to say about their experience: 🗨️ “To be successful you really must be synchronised and in pace. Through dragon boating I’ve learned how to be more agile in how you communicate with people from across the bank,” says Sylvia Oh from DWS. 🗨️ “You can’t just paddle faster than the rest of the team and become first. You have to work with the rest of the team to achieve the common goal,” says Mathew George from our Compliance team. 🗨️ “The weather might not be great, conditions might not be perfect, but you have to be persistent, work hard, and be deeply dedicated,” says Megan Kwong from the Investment Bank team. Explore how we are nurturing an environment that allows everyone to unleash their full potential, at work and in their personal lives: https://lnkd.in/eX-kXQCx #DragonBoat #StanleyDragonBoat #DeutscheBank

The Approach for RWY02 at Lisboa is a very particular one. The view is always breathtaking with “Ponte 25 de abril” pointing to the green heart of City (Monsanto) next to Ajuda’s Palace, for the ones who like football: Sporting and Benfica sport arenas on your left side. Just before you are crossing the “2ª Circular”, one of the main road arteries of the city, you will always feel a change of wind… keep up your speed and aiming point and you will find yourself on a much smoother short final. On your right you will most certainly have some audience judging your landing, in my case wondering why theres a Herc doing 130kts on final, but who doesn’t like a little pressure. 32015G28 was the wind on this video, so a 60° crosswind with a gust of 13knots. The manual says to increase approach speed for the max of 10 knots making it very close to overspeeding the flaps. So you need to monitor your speed closely and make sure the lowest speed is safe and work around that. A 50% flap approach was also an option (with pros and cons) but the gusts were predictable and the wind direction steady. Was lucky enough to have a fellow pilot capture the approach from the outside where it’s difficult to realise the work beeing done inside. It’s one of my favourite approaches and it will always feel like home. #aviation #landing #c130

Briljant idee van Jay Rayner: de Olympische Vreetspelen! 😋 I know how to improve the Olympics | by Jay Rayner | The Guardian In a few days the Paris Olympics will begin. This should be a moment of true joy and excitement but, honestly, I’m not feeling it. This is because I find the whole sporting shebang terribly unrelatable. It’s about people who can jump high, throw things a long way or run fast. I can do none of these things; I haven’t run anywhere since that unfortunate incident during cross-country in 1980. The Olympics weren’t always like this. From 1912 to 1948, they included cultural contests in things such as painting, music, literature and town planning. That’s more inclusive but I’m still not sure I’d thrive. I’m not up to planning a whole town under competition conditions. What’s needed, so that people like me can get involved, is a food aspect. What we need are proper food contests that challenge the very character, good taste and stamina of the competitors. And I am the man to shape those events. Let’s start with the edible decathlon, a gruelling series of 10-course tasting menus. Points are awarded for clearing each plate and saying smart things about them, and deducted for rolling your eyes and muttering “Christ, is there much more of this?” under your breath. In a similar vein there’s the long lunch mixed doubles, in which two couples join each other at a restaurant at 1pm and attempt to make it through to the dinner service, without running out of things to say, visibly getting drunk or lapsing into unconsciousness. There will, of course, be strict rules defining gaps between courses and portion size. This is a serious competition. That demands an internationally recognised set of regulations. https://lnkd.in/eGTQ9_VX #Paris #Olympics #food #contest #edible #decathlon #long #lunch #mixed #doubles #LaGrandeBouffe
