🔍 The Silent Struggle of a Dry Marriage 🔍 A dry marriage can be an invisible burden, especially for women who often shoulder the emotional load of their relationships. Emotional intimacy diminishes, leaving a void that's hard to fill. This disconnection can lead to feelings of loneliness, inadequacy, and self-doubt. In many cases, women may feel responsible for the lack of connection, questioning what they did wrong or how they could fix it. This internalized guilt can be overwhelming, affecting self-esteem and overall mental health. It's crucial to recognize that both partners play a role in the health of a marriage. Communication and mutual effort are key to overcoming this silent struggle. If you are feeling like this and want support, DM me, and let's talk. You are never alone. #relationshipcoaching #intimacy #marriagehelp #selflove #cultivateselflove #intimacycoaching #loverevival #relationshipgoals #empowerment #marriagetips #maturelove #marriagesthatsizzle #drymarriages #walkawaywife

A toxic family inlaw and particularly mother inlaw can be a " bone in the throat" in our African marriage settings. If this is your case, then my write up is for you. The very first thing to do is to take your distance with them: mother inlaw, sisters, brothers... Expect their problems at all time because toxic people do not change. They can only pretend to change if they see that their interest is involved. Do not be naïve to fall for their hypocracy. Their pretentious abilities can urge you to feel soo comfortable and open up to an extent that they will gladly use against you once an opportunity presents itself. So, silence should be your DADA😁. Open your mouth if you are sure to really make a positive difference with your words otherwise stay quiet. Respect them all. Do not become bad just because you want to reciprocate their poor treatment towards you. Be yourself. This will prove that you are well educated and God fearing. Do not hope for them to change, it may never happen. Hope to adapt to the situation for the sake of your mental health. No matter how they manipulate you to believe that they have changed, do not bring down your guard. Be prudent about your interactions with them. Do not feel too comfortable. It might just be an other strategy to favour their interests. Avoid entering into a fight with inlaws. It is waste of time, energy and mental torture. You will never win the battle so, of what use is it then? Work on your personal development in every aspect of your life: physicall, psychologically, and professionally. Marriage is not for children, it is for mature adults only. You can acquire maturity though personal development. Become your own coach with Petra Ngandi empowering humanity to self-improvement and fulfillment

Cofounder: Operation Thriving Marriage | Author | Podcaster | Chief Master Sergeant, Michigan Air National Guard, A4(logistics) | Certified Professional Innovator
Mental health is vital to a healthy marriage. We all have past experiences and genetic make-ups that can create difficulties in connection and intimacy preventing us from experiencing the fullness of marriage as it’s intended to be. This column does a great job of providing both long-term and short-term advice. The thing that I particularly like about the advice is the emphasis on taking personal responsibility of our mental health. It is easy and common to deflect, pass blame, and force our spouses to carry an unreasonable amount of the burden of our mental health. Of course they are there to help, but we, with God’s help, are the only ones that can truly affect our inner life. https://lnkd.in/edg6c-E5

Here’s 5 ways Marriage Consulting differs from other roles like counseling and therapy: As a Marriage Consultant, I offer specialized guidance focused on preventative strategies to help couples strengthen their relationship, improve communication, and resolve conflicts, without providing therapy in a clinical sense. Consultative Approach I focus on practical advice and actionable strategies rather than deep psychological analysis or therapy. Coaching for Specific Goals I help couples with defined goals such as preparing for marriage or navigating a major life change. Separate from the Medical Model I don't focus on diagnosing or treating mental health issues. Skill Building I emphasize teaching communication, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence skills. Proactive Support I offer more preventative care, helping couples build strong foundations before major issues arise. If you're interested in learning more about how Marriage Consulting can help you or someone you love, send me a message here or contact me via my website: www.sisneyurman.com. I would love to hear from you.
