So happy to finally share: Index Ventures has raised $2.3bn in new funds — an $800m venture fund and a $1.5 billion growth fund — to partner with founders from seed to IPO. We're at such a historical tipping point for founders to create new, category-defining businesses, and I'm incredibly excited to see who we'll meet with next. I don't think I can say it any better than Romain Dillet's piece in TechCrunch: "And when you look at Index Ventures’ investment portfolio, it includes some of the most successful tech companies of the past few years, such as Figma, Revolut, Roblox, Scale AI and Wiz. Over the past 28 years, Index Ventures has funded 108 unicorns, 23 decacorns and 57 companies that went public. There’s no reason to change a recipe that already works." So, I think I said, going forward we would just be PSV. Actually, that’s no quite true. Having grown into a venture house, means we’re several independent venture funds, investment units and initiatives under one roof. In the process of finding the right name and narrative for such a house, Helle, Richard, Christel and I, were forced to also think about what actually makes our venture fund hashtag #PSVTech stand out. The answer was very liberating. We’re just another early-stage VC. Personally, I don’t think all of us generalist early stage VCs are all that different. A venture model is venture model, it’s not rocket science at least it shouldn’t be. We all try to stand out by becoming data-driven, being first movers on ESG or the favorite, being founder first. What makes us stand out is our experience, our craft and our ability to really connect with founders. At PSV Tech we’ve dedicated ourselves to backing founders pre-product/market fit. We get behind their vision before others do and based on more than two decades of experience our team knows the twist and turns of getting a software-focused startup from first proof to a repeatable model. We’ve tailored our setup to help founders through that exact stage. It’s the craft we know by heart. Christian, Sebastian

Great reference document - thank you Rubén D. Pay attention to slide 8 - too many entrepreneurs say their company is unique with no competitors. That is a mistake. Competitors validate a space. Differentiate and compete.
