There's a new way to get your car checked when you take it to the mechanic using artificial intelligence. In 20 to 40 seconds, you can get a full report and know if there's anything wrong with your car, like a fuel leak or you need new tires. It's like an MRI for your car and it's called UVeye. So all you need to do is drive through it. It takes thousands of pictures below the car from the tire angle and it can give us a full condition report and a safety scan of anything that could be wrong with the vehicle. Yaron Saghiv from UVeye showed me some of the problems it can detect. Any kind of sidewall damage.. so you can see that there's a cut in the rubber over here, which is a big safety hazard, so I would recommend to replace this tire. We also see rim damages over here. You can also see the tread depth. You can see the underbody of the vehicle and if there's some kind of residual leak over here, you can see the rust view and we can see some kind of scratches or dents over here. Mercedes-Benz Manhattan is one of three locations in Manhattan with the UVeye. According to general manager David Tait, UVeye is beneficial to both customers and service advisors. So it helps our check in process go a little bit more efficiently, first of all. Second of all, it's a little bit more organized. We don't have a lot of people scrambling around the car, which is which is what happens traditionally. And third of all, it gives them all the information at their fingertips, so there's no more guesswork about what the car can need and you don't miss things that you potentially could miss without the scanning going on, safety is very important and this technology can help make the roads safer. Keeping the car safe is really our primary goal here, so that's really assisting us with keeping the vehicle safe, finding the defects before customers have issues with their vehicles like leaking tires or losing air pressure. Now UVeye also helps the car owners save time and money. Once the scan is complete, you get a text message with a full report and you see exactly what the service technician sees. Roseanne and Curt, it's pretty cool with that technology, you just drive in and then boom, within a few seconds you have all that information. That is very cool technology.
