#HydrogenTruck: 👎👎👎! Just watched the "Climate Technology's Trillion-Dollar Opportunity" panel at Collision Conf 2024. Nathan Lump hosted an awesome discussion with cleantech #investors Andrew Beebe, Rachel Slaybaugh, and Rokas P.. They shared their thoughts on some hot new technologies. Here's their take on some of the controversial ones: #NuclearSMR: 👍👍👍 #CarbonRemoval: 👍👎👎 Their reactions were based on feasibility, tech readiness, scalability, business models, and other factors that determine growth potential. Venture capital investors are at the forefront of evaluating the future of these technologies. For instance, they suggest the core technology and business model of carbon removal aren't fully clear. But Andrew said, "We have no choice but to use it as one of the mechanisms." #ClimateChange is real, and innovation is key to tackling it. The panel agreed that more funding should go into #cleantech. As these technologies mature, they’ll bring financial returns and have a big impact. But it's also true that many innovations don't make it to the mainstream. What do you think about the future of these technologies?

I recently attended the Brown Rudnick LLP Clean Technology Pitch Event, here are some of my reflections: 💸 Despite a challenging H1 2024 investment climate, opportunities in cleantech remain strong. The transition has seen a slowdown in total investments, but many investors are still actively searching for the right opportunities. As the macro environment and political uncertainties from recent elections stabilise, we'll hopefully see renewed confidence in the market. 🔋 The future of cleantech is incredibly promising - not only in energy but also across construction, the circular economy, manufacturing, and food systems. Innovation in these sectors is happening right now and will create a more sustainable future! 💡 The key challenges for cleantech innovators are harnessing AI as part of their solution, the ability to target the customers willing to pay, as well as being able to accelerate the time to revenue and profit. A big thank you to Brown Rudnick LLP and NovAzure for hosting such an fantastic pitch event! It was great to be part of a room filled with innovators, fund managers, and industry experts looking to collectively drive cleantech forward. Looking forward to staying connected and seeing how LCP Delta can continue to support fund managers and innovators in the energy industry towards Net Zero. #CleanTech #Sustainability #EnergyTransition

Please take a look at Adapting to an Evolving Market, a new report by remove and sus.lab | ETH, exploring the unique challenges and innovative strategies shaping #CDR in Europe. We’re thrilled that ZeroEx could contribute to this important project and was featured as a case study, highlighting our work in #ERW as a scalable CO₂ removal solution. As our CEO, Tony Oehm, highlights in the report, “Due to the novelty of ERW, accurate MRV is still costly, limiting our customer base. But we see the potential to significantly reduce these costs over the next few years, allowing us to compete with methods like biochar and afforestation.” Collaborations with organizations like remove are essential for moving us closer to that vision, helping us make #CDR both effective and accessible. A big thank you to everyone involved! 👏👏 👉 Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/dSUwHyB3 #CarbonRemoval #ERW #Sustainability #ZeroEx #CDR #Innovation

If Innovation Zero proved anything to us, it’s that there’s no shortage of companies looking to raise capital to fund some sort of novel energy storage, carbon capture, carbon credits, gridtech, or other cleantech/net-zero-related product or service. All of which are founded and led by very smart individuals, though only a handful are likely to achieve industry-wide adoption. Superior technology, commercial nous, strategic drive and luck will be needed to crack that ceiling. There is equally no lack of investors looking to deploy capital into early-stage opportunities, but there’s a limit to how much technology risk they are willing to take. Calash can help investors and businesses to properly understand and articulate the opportunities and challenges associated with different products and services geared towards achieving net zero. We’re founded by technology experts and commercialising new ideas has been part of Calash’s DNA from inception. The event was a great place to meet these companies and hear from some impressive speakers. Well done to the organisers and all involved. #InnovationZero #energytransition #carboncredits #batterytechnology

Three weeks ago Chad Clovis - CEO of Karbon-X presented the firm at our #InvestmentConference to #ActiveInvestors #FamilyOffices #BuySide #HNWIs and #Entrepreneurs from our #Ecosystem. He gave a speech that was filled with multiple highlights from their current sales pipeline and the growth opportunities that are laying ahead. The #InvestmentCase is extraordinary as it seems in my view that Karbon-X #Management and #Team have developed the most complete - vertically integrated - carbon capturing, carbon credit generating, carbon offset for B2B and B2C plus Carbon Offset Trading Platform that is out there in the global and soon regulated public markets. More and more global operating OEMs, Institutions, Corporates trust, partnering and cooperating with Karbon-X. Today and tomorrow Chad is attending the Carbon Capture Technology Expo Europe in Hamburg. Our family is #shareholder and if you would like to become part of this growth story please dm Chad Clovis or Michael Kott. Karbon-X B2C #Slogan is #BelieveinBetter and while not just claiming that, they actually doing that and changing peoples #Mindset to make them aware and engage them creating together a more #SustainableWorld #Impact #ESG #InvestmentCase for #AssetManagers #CreditOrganisations #Banks #Industries #MetalsandMining #Resources #GreenEnergy #Biochar #Solar and much much more tags

Another day in my #AdventCalendar, and yet more brilliant news to share! ICYMI, Heirloom recently closed a $150m to continue advancing its technology to capture CO2 from the air. Of course avoiding emissions in the first place is critical - but we will still need to remove significant volumes of CO2 to reverse the damage of the last couple of decades - and so this technology is critical. For the skeptics, Heirloom is thoroughly focused on cost-efficiency, and has licenced Leilac's innovative kiln technology in order to use what is ultimately a very simple and very effective lime-cycling process. The game must be to get end to end costs below US$100/tonne or thereabouts and I'm intrigued to know how long this will take - though I understand that the company will not want to make big promises too early. With huge amounts of venture capital being lured into the frothy AI sector, it's great to see money being invested where it is more urgently needed... https://lnkd.in/etfXCs7y?
