You never know who knows you out in public. I think is also goes for solcail media be aware of the way you are presenting yourself! 2. Responsibility, now says lots of people aren’t responsible, or don’t want to work nor show up! You where the one that wanted to the(wether you like your job or not) show up and be responsible it will help you later on in life. The way you do one thing is the way you do everything, make good habits! This article will improve the way I am at my internship by making me more compassionate with the people we work with, we aren’t only dealing with them we are dealing with there animals and for most people there animals are there whole world! Ghosting the ghost cat - In the previous post, I told you about how naive I had been with careerRATic thinking. But I don’t wish to forget how I got my first internship and didn’t make it. For good reason, I was gripped by the idea of interning/ working in animal conservation. I wanted to observe animal behaviour and write a research paper on animal sentience and societal behaviour. I was convinced that human evolution was positive till we developed language. It's a definitively flawed assertion. But at that point, I was too excited at the prospect of working with animals and drawing some comparisons of how animals actually won by not developing shared language. Again, highly flawed assertion. But, excitement. So, I found out that a classmate’s father was a conservationist with the Nature Conservation Foundation, and wrote him an email explaining my idea to intern with his team. He was patient enough to hear me out, took a genuine interest, and explained what kind of work I would be doing should I accept the internship. He was working with snow leopard conservation in Ladakh, and they needed help with community education, surveys, and such. He mentioned that my chance to observe snow leopards was at the snow leopard's discretion. I was excited at the prospect. It was all well until he mentioned he didn’t have the budget at that time to pay me, but he would arrange for my stay and living there for the duration of the internship. As I write this post, I reckon I could’ve figured out a way to get to Ladakh, but at that time, there was too much uncertainty. I hadn’t a clue about the duration, living conditions, and future prospects of such an internship. Pitching this uncertain prospect to my parents, who were keen on me pursuing a master’s or finding a real job instead, was how I didn’t make it in spite of landing a dream internship.

Making yourself stand out by being punctual as well as being a hard worker willing to do menial jobs/tasks and even volunteering to do them willingly. This will help me to possibly stand out from other interns and show the technicians that I am willing to do difficult things and work hard regardless. 2. Being respectful by listening to the Vet technicians and Nurses because I can learn so much about the clinic and the care for animals by being present and actively listening. Instead, make these years a masterclass in veterinary medicine: 1. Choose your internships wisely: Seek out practices with experienced mentors who are willing to teach and guide you. 2. Every patient is a lesson: Take detailed notes, ask questions, and reflect on each case. Even routine appointments offer valuable insights. 3. Learn from your mistakes (and others'): Don't be afraid to ask for help or feedback. Mistakes are inevitable, but they're also powerful learning opportunities. 4. Keep a journal: Record your experiences, thoughts, and questions. This will become an invaluable resource as you grow in your career. These early years are about building a solid foundation of knowledge and experience. You'll develop your clinical skills, learn the nuances of client communication, and discover your niche within the vast field of veterinary medicine.
