The meat industry selectively breeds chickens to grow unnaturally large and abnormally fast to produce as much meat as possible in the least time. These birds grow so big they often collapse and can suffer from muscle disorders, heart disease, and organ failure. 😢 Take action! 🚨Whole Foods pledged to stop sourcing meat from ultra-fast growing chickens by 2024, and it’s time for the company to follow through! Demand that Whole Foods publish a plan for keeping its promise: https://lnkd.in/gvG7jU_C

I know farmers and their chickens do not look anything like the second pic. Please do not villify all.

These industries should be embarrassed for what they do. Or at least held accountable for animal abuse. Why do farm animals not deserve the same protections as our dogs and cats? Why is the abuse of pigs, chickens and cows somehow OK?

Thank you for continuing to expose the horrors behind the intensive farming! This is exactly what happens when companies continue to prioritize profit over ethics…

Plus who would want to eat deformed birds? I guess if it s shredded or in “ tenders” no one would know or get to select any.
