What are some the challenges you face in your Gig Economy Journey? At ConnectCON last weekend, we explored this conversation in great detail amongst participants and speakers. In his keynote speech Rashvin Pal Singh shared the Mereka Connect journey and his vision for a well supported marketplace and gig economy ecosystem. In the following AMA with Gurpreet Singh, our founders answered pressing questions from the audience, "How do you stand out in a very congested market?", Does subscription include free/discounted access [to Mereka resources]?", "Any referral programs?" During our panel session with Joelle Pang, Bob Low and Denagharan S. , we really dove-deep into the benefits and challenges of the gig economy both from the perspectives of experienced gig workers and the business who hire them. Nuggets of wisdom and great insights were shared from the wealth of experience on and off stage. Concluding with more intimate circles to discuss AI in Business Growth with Jason Fung and Digital Marketing with Dano E. Falk respectively, one clear theme emerged by the end of ConnectCON; The Gig Economy can be a very lonely journey. Without the right resources and support, it can quickly become unsustainable. Mereka has recognised this, and it is the Mereka promise to bridge this gap by creating a community; One that serves as an ecosystem within which, all Malaysia gig economy professionals can thrive. "In the next 6 months to a year, our goal is to provide support and resources to make the freelance landscape less lonely for Malaysian gig professionals." -  Shanee Singam, Head of Growth, Mereka.
